Removed a 'Works' label on a retro 45 year old hair dryer dome style that I picked up at a garage sale!! Yes the magic eraser and the WD40. Worked amazingly!! Thank you!
Magic Eraser worked wonders for taking the sharpie doodle I drew on my Moleskin journal. It didn't damage the cover at all, just took off the sharpie, and had no odors to deal with.
I can't thank you enough!!! I BOUGHT An $120.00 IT84 PLUS calculator for my 8th grader.... I wrote his name on the package WITH PERMANENT MARKER! I wanted to return it, since my niece gave us hers. I used the magic eraser and in seconds front and back were clean!!! Because of you, now I can return it and get my money back!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOME!!! Thank youuuu!!!!
Hey, what did you have sharpie on? I dropped my sharpie on accident on my throwback jersey 😢the one in my icon. It's just a little dot right the white 3, expensive jersey, my favorite.. kinda scared to spray wd40 on my Thurman Thomas jersey, very small dot
@Ben_85 if it is the slippery plastic-like Jersey material you may be able to use a Mr. Clean eraser. If it isn’t, try washing by hand with some dish soap. Or take it to a dry cleaner.
Thanks so much the WD40 works great for taking sharpie off the electronics I just bought in bulk from someone ! Great for cleaning grease and smudges too
Thanks for the video. My little one got a hold of a permanent marker and went to town. I didn’t have time to clean immediately so the marker sat in for about a week. Tried the wd and did quite do it. The eraser by itself didn’t do anything. A litter squirt of 90% alcohol and then the eraser did the trick.
Im a collector of bratz dolls and I painted my doll using a marker and I messed up so I tried everything but didn’t work. Does mr clean can remove marker on dolls face? Thank you!
unforturnately none of these worked for me. I bought a used piece of granite that had the price marked in permanent marker. Got most of it off, but the last little bit still shows through. can still read the price. any other ideas?
On my great granddaughters play table. I tried Goo gone. Nail polish remover and was very sceptical about Mr. Clean eraser. Bingo. Mr clean did the trick. Thank-you.
I accidentally wrote on a plastic lid in Sharpie and I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but the words are still sliiightly visible under the light. Do you know how I can get rid of the stain completely?
That’s a tricky one. If the hat is fabric then you’ll have to be careful not to pull the dye out of the fabric along with the marker. WD-40 would be your safest option but it may not be strong enough. I’d start with that. Then, wash the hat with in the washing machine with your next load of laundry.
Hey man any advice for cleaning it off a Disc golf disc? Ive tried everything and now im about to start letting the solution sit on it for a long period since - NOTHING WORKS! - even if i combine all 3 of these or use white vinegar nothing it taking the sharpie off the hard plastic disc Any thoughts? Thankyou
If the wall is sealed then you could try any of these methods. However, if it is unsealed then the marker has soaked in and getting it out will be tough. You’ll probably have to treat a large area because you’ll end up bleaching the marker area and it’ll look much different.
Do you think the Magic Eraser or WD40 would work removing a sharpie from a vinyl banner? I have an autograph i wanted to remove but was not sure what, if anything, would work!
The magic eraser would definitely work. You could use both of the eraser doesn’t work by itself. Be careful not to scrub too hard or you may remove more than the autograph.
Isopropyl alcohol also works very well for normal, non-pro, Sharpie markers. Magic Eraser contains an abrasive that will finely scratch most surfaces… so just be aware of that. It’s not magic. It’s just like sandpaper.
Well..I used wd40, alcohol 70% strongest I could get for now, dry erase over then used hand sanitizer, even used windex....no avail. This marker is truly permanent

Probably Mr Clean
Wow, who would have thought. I'm going to have to get some of those things. Good video, thanks.
Glad to help!
Is the wd40 going to remove the clear coat on a varnished table? Thank you.
It’s possible. I’d try a small spot in an inconspicuous area first.
Mr.Clean for sure won that one
It woks pretty well!
Thank you for your help and best of luck with your you tube channel.
Much appreciated!
Very helpful, thank you so much!

Mr clean is really the best ❤
It works great!
Can you use the WD-40 for permanent marker off of a clipboard?
It may work, but since the clipboard is so porous you may have a tough time.
Thank you
You're welcome!
Im a collector of bratz dolls and I painted my doll using a marker and I messed up so I tried everything but didn’t work. Does mr clean can remove marker on dolls face? Thank you!
It should. Let us know your results when you try!
no method worked for me for permanent market for 1 month on plastic electroinc device . do you have any other recommendations?
You can try rubbing alcohol.
Mr Clean Magic Eraser WITH isopropyl alcohol, WD-40, spray underarm deodorant, water, etc depending on the surface.
Yes. Lots of options.

Awesome!
Have a 2 year old, has colored all over our home, I hope this works
unforturnately none of these worked for me. I bought a used piece of granite that had the price marked in permanent marker. Got most of it off, but the last little bit still shows through. can still read the price. any other ideas?
Granite is tough. You can try a dry erase marker or rubbing alcohol.
Does it work on action figures?
Yes, it should
will this work on a t-shirt or table cloth, please let me know looking forward to hear from you
The WD-40 May work. However, on fabric it would be best to use a product made for fabric that way the colors won’t bleed.
Dry erase marker over the sharpie then use magic eraser works everytime 😊
Yes! That’s a great tip!
How can I get it off a canvas material photo without damaging the photo?
Take it to an art restoration specialist.
If you put the nail polish remover on the cleaner scrub thingy it will actually come off really good is what I figure it out.
that might strip the clear coat off
Yes, acetone combined with a Mr Clean eraser is wonderful!
It’s possible so you’d need to be careful.
I appreciate you, thanks!
Glad I could help!
Mr Clean!! I need to buy a beer 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Awesome!
Don't have a Mr clean magic eraser, but I'll definitely use that wd40 thanks

Definitely worth a try!
i have a black mark on two of my fingers, those black marks are from a marker how can i remove them
Check out another video I have on how to remove paint from your hands.
Will it work if the marker is on a pair of shoes
I’d try using dish soap and washing them by hand.
On my great granddaughters play table. I tried Goo gone. Nail polish remover and was very sceptical about Mr. Clean eraser. Bingo. Mr clean did the trick. Thank-you.

Wd 40 worked great. I didn't have any mr.clean!
Thanks for sharing!
Does it work on a soccer ball?
Yes, it should!
Does the magic eraser leave markings?
Not usually
I accidentally wrote on a plastic lid in Sharpie and I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but the words are still sliiightly visible under the light. Do you know how I can get rid of the stain completely?
Try cautiously using one of the liquids with the Mr Clean eraser.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Alcohl works good too.
Yeah, rubbing alcohol
Can WD-40 or Mr. Clean removes marks from metal without damaging the surface?
I’d try it on a small hidden area first. It really depends on the finish on the metal.
@@HowToVideoChannel Thank you for the advice.
You’re welcome!
What removes permanent marker from a magazine
You may be out of luck. Those pages are pretty porous.
Which would work best for sharpie on an under visor of a hat
That’s a tricky one. If the hat is fabric then you’ll have to be careful not to pull the dye out of the fabric along with the marker. WD-40 would be your safest option but it may not be strong enough. I’d start with that. Then, wash the hat with in the washing machine with your next load of laundry.
Unfortunately, I haven't found such thorough success with this method trying to clean golf balls. Always a faint mark left.
Perhaps if you soak them.
Magic eraser is the fastest, did you also try just alcohol or hand sanitizer?
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Will These Methods Work On Velcro?
It would be worth a try.
Magic marker seems to work great, I usually use 91% alcohol which also works great.
Yes, both great methods!
Tell me how to remove markers pen from the photo paper?
Try the Mr Clean eraser but be careful not to ruin the photo paper.
Hey man any advice for cleaning it off a Disc golf disc? Ive tried everything and now im about to start letting the solution sit on it for a long period since - NOTHING WORKS! - even if i combine all 3 of these or use white vinegar nothing it taking the sharpie off the hard plastic disc
Any thoughts? Thankyou
Strange that the Mr. Clean eraser and acetone doesn’t take it off. You could try using gasoline or rubbing alcohol.
Let us know what you find out!
@@HowToVideoChannel I ended up mixing nail polish remover and iso 91% and letting it soak twice and it removed it off 👍🏻
That’s awesome!
Thanks for sharing your results!
goof off
Would wd40 over time ruin your paint?
WD-40 will remove paint.
What will remove sharpee mark off my concrete wall outside
If the wall is sealed then you could try any of these methods. However, if it is unsealed then the marker has soaked in and getting it out will be tough.
You’ll probably have to treat a large area because you’ll end up bleaching the marker area and it’ll look much different.
How do you get a sharpie or permanent marker off of a mirror? any thoughts?
Try any of these methods.
Will any of these strip the white paint off of furniture?
The nail polish remover and the mr clean eraser might. But you’ll have to scrub pretty hard.
I put a little nail polish remover on door and it started messing with paint like I thought it would
Which would be best for the piano keys
Probably Mr Clean eraser.
Probably Mr Clean eraser.
The polish remover doesn’t say 50% acetone. Maybe if you have the real acetone I would think it will work. The one you have says regular!?
The stronger the acetone, probably the better it will work.
Is safely sharpie black pen remove from photo paper use magic eraser?
But how do they fare on fabric??? Fabric is harder? Anyone?
Use a stain remover like Shout or Oxy Clean.
Dose it also work for Posca marker the WD 40??
Try it out and see!
@@HowToVideoChannelit actually didn’t work.
Bummer.
Did any of the solutions work?
I wanted to try and use nail polish remover. Because in Germany we don’t have the other option.
@@HowToVideoChannelbut there is something called ,,Brennspiritus” in Germany, but I don’t know if I should buy it and if it works.
Wd-40 didn't work for me gotta try the other 2
Hopefully, they’ll work for you!

What’s the ingredient in the magic eraser?
I’m not sure what’s in them. Google probably knows, otherwise check out the back of the box next time you see it.
excellent video...i vote the mr. clean magic eraser because it worked better plus it probably doesn't smell like the wd40 would.
Thank you for sharing. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
What will work for a basketball
Yes, any of them will work.
@@HowToVideoChannel which one
I’d try the magic eraser first. Be careful not to scrub so hard that you remove the finish from the basketball.
Gracias
De nada!
Wd40 did not work on my wall.
Maybe one of the other methods will work for you.
Is it helpful to remove permanent marker from memory card?
Only if you don’t want the marker on there.

Well..I used wd40, alcohol 70% strongest I could get for now, dry erase over then used hand sanitizer, even used windex....no avail. This marker is truly permanent
Wow, I guess so!
Use Deet, (mosquito repellant). Be careful; some materials and plastics can be damaged by Deet.
Can i use this on clothes?
It would be better to use products made for fabric.
Mr clean
Awesome!
How can I remove it from leather
Try the Mr Clean.
Use a dry erase marker and write on top. It will take it right off.
Yes, that works well depending on the surface.
Magic erase 😊
Awesome!
