    Beautiful work and video quality is nice. It's amazing how far cameras have come. Even your phone can take decent video.

    Max, That anti-clutter workbench is really working out 😂. Thanks for all the efficiency tips to make these parts. Learning how and why a master machinist applies his craft really advances all of our capabilities. 🙏

    WOW , now that is a job , a metric hex nut with 7/8 inch 11TPI BSF threads , and I thought the American system was confusing , LOL .
    Nice job Max !

      Lol , i convert everything to metric on the Bridgeport as it's a metric machine . Easier ! 👍

      Good idea . The Swan Valley where we live is a vineyard , wine making area that goes back to the early 1800's . Most neighbours have horses or cows , but we have machines ! 👍

    Max- I know that some people critique tubers filming efforts…….I visit you to enlarge my machine tool library. You are doing a fantastic job. Perfect. Stop! Great. Excellent! Anyone who comments on videography should do that same project- with commentary- and publish before saying anything regarding your work. Matty is also concerned about the same issues, and almost apologetically says so in most of his work since I have had the honor of watching his videos. A great guy, who builds great stuff. Y’all best be proud of putting in the time and effort to teach an almost lost skill set. I’d bend an elbow with you both if able 😊

    Plenty of "Crows Feet" stamps Max, ref War duty, but could be anything , I bought some Moore & Wright Unified thread gauges off EBay a few weeks ago, marked 1989 with the Crows Foot. I think M & W are made in India now.
    Another part well done 👏

      Thanks . There is a lot of stuff made in india now . A lot of old , big name products that are no longer produced are made there . 👍

    G DAY Max I always pick up some little tip from you that helps me make better parts. And what I do when finished for the day is put all the tools away and clean the machines to start the next day. My Dad had a sign in his workshop that said A place for every thing and every thing in its place. Cheers

    Hi Max, Its nice to see somebody else realising that once you have a flat face there is no need to face to the centre of the part each time if you are drilling a hole. Most damage to inserts occurs when facing if the tool isn't bang on centre height, you can easily chip an insert. I also like you using the 15 deg CNMG tool, a lot of folk throw tips away using the "standard" CNMG tools not realising you have another four perfectly usable tip edges if you have the correct tool. Best wishes, Mal.

      @swanvalleymachineshop  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thanks . That is my favourite roughing tool . As you know , it gives the insert a good strong supported edge . 👍

    Max, you need about $20.000 dollars worth of tool boxes, and then you can stand in one place all day long, opening drawers looking for what you have lost.
    And by the way, ----as you get older it done not get easier.
