It is nice hearing Gigout's Toccata with the proper registration: it is usually played too loud, especially at the beginning.

Die Abstimmung und Intonation der Orgelwerke ist wunderbar, es fehlt aber definitiv noch etwas Schub um 32‘-Bereich, eine große Contrabombarde, bzw. ein 32‘ Register in voller Länge.

Die Akustik im Raum begünstigt die tiefen Frequenzen, was auf den Aufnahmen nicht so gut wiedergegeben werden kann. Aber in der Tat, eine 32' Zunge in voller Länge wäre in manchen Situationen wirklich brauchbar. Allerdings sind der jetzige Klang und die Wirkung in den allermeisten Registrierungen so gut, dass man sich nie dazu entschließen konnte...

I don’t think it’s lacks in the 32’ at all. This sounds like a Cavaillé-Coll, but with much more depth, due to the use of four organs. I think it’s fabulous
I’d love to hear the Widor Taccata from his 5th symphony on these organs.
