- The Israeli military has released a group of Palestinians from prison.
They're having medical checks at Al-Aqsa and Nasser Hospitals.
Among those released is the director of al-Shifa Hospital, Muhammad Abu Salmiya.
He was detained in November, while taking part in a United Nations mission to evacuate patients, from the medical complex.
Abu Salamiya says Israeli forces detained him on no legal grounds.
Following his release from Israeli detention, the director of al-Shifa Hospital, Muhammad Abu Salmiya, has confirmed that Palestinian prisoners are going through “tragic conditions” due to the lack of food, drink and torture.
He said hundreds of medical personnel have been detained by Israeli forces, and that a number of Palestinian detainees were killed while tortured.
He stressed that Palestinians in Gaza would rebuild the Strip, including his hospital.
Palestinian sources confirmed that Abu Salmiya was subjected to brutal torture during his detention in Israeli-run prisons.
Mansour Shouman, a Palestinian journalist and humanitarian who witnessed Israel’s war in Rafah and Khan Younis, has told Al Jazeera that “there are thousands more like Dr Muhammad Abu Salmiya who had been detained by Israel in the wrongful way over the past few months”.

While Israeli prisoners do not have a bruise on them while being kept by Hamas the Palestinian prisoners come out malnourished, bruised and traumatized by the IDF. Thank you for covering this. Its important to hear about what they are going through but I'm not sure if it has been covered here, they're doing a lot more than torture. It is a sensitive subject, especially for the victims but there are multiple accounts of sexual violence as well and that should be reported. Unlike their counterparts, IS-NOT-REAL, they aren't lying.
Before starting war should be secure civilians and main infrastructure. This is responsible for Hamas, not for IDF or Israel. Enemy well secure on their own civilians and infrastructure.

So, if you assume the Palestinian side of the story, why would they detain him for no reason then release him? You release if you must, i.e. you can't continue to detain, but if you're detaining for no reason, a release is never necessary. If you assume the Israeli side of the story, that the hospitals are bases for Hamas, and he was the director, then uhh? How is it possible that you didn't find something to charge him w/ and keep him in custody? It makes no sense. His being released in my mind contradicts both sides. The truth has to be something else.
