    Both of my parents worked at FLL in the 90's and they were allowed to bring me behind the scenes. That's where I saw the classic widebody airplanes like the L-1011 Tristar, DC-10, 767, and A300. It's great to see widebody passenger jets in FLL again, Saul with the A330 and of course, Norweigian with the 787 :).

    Now at the beginning, was that the wind that was making the airplanes engine blades turn like they were, cause I am suret hat they werent running At this point....Now the only other thing, I know that these binking red lights are probably required on all jet airliners, but could you imagine sitting in that seat or seat area right next to the engine at night, and have to see the bright red flashing light go on and off the whole flight, take a lot to get used to I bet.....

  • @peerkbh
    @peerkbh Před 9 lety +6

    Thanks for this video. Have considered flying Norwegian as I frequently fly from Denmark to the States, but the incredibly long delays and the fact that Norwegian use staff from another part of the world so that can get away with under-paying them has held me back.
    Now that I see that even on Premium Class they charge you for food and drinks and amenities that I got for free on British Airways only a couple of days ago when I flew from LAX to LHR I am certain that I won't be using this airline - especially considering that they are certainly not always the cheapest.

    • @BelowMinimums
      @BelowMinimums Před 9 lety +5

      peerkbh One thing you have to consider with these low cost carriers is the reason they are so cheap. They are so cheap because they don't hide the costs of "complimentary" items on board such as soft drink and food in the price of the ticket. With most airlines you pay for your food and beverage within the price of the ticket, but with airlines like Norwegian you don't. The price of the ticket does not include food and beverages and as such you must pay for them on board.

    • @archietherobot
      @archietherobot Před 7 lety +1

      peerkbh I really dislike this business model in which you have to pay for everything separately, especially in a 'premium' cabin. I will never fly any of those, not even on short haul and definitely not on long haul flights. But apparently this is what lots of other people want. We already have Norwegian and WOW, in a few months we'll have Level that uses the same concept. That's 3 lowcost airlines flying long haul ex-Europe. A new generation of travellers take the fact that they must pay for everything as a normal thing and therefore soon it will be normal, unfortunately.

      KaluzaFX •Fluxx• The 3-4-3 config is quite nice actually mostly on the Wide-bodied planes like the 777, but for the 787 maybe they should just do 2-3-2 config, if you ever go on a 787 stay in Business or First class cause in economy you are packed there like sardines

    • @donaldm3067
      @donaldm3067 Před 6 lety

      Actually only a few select ANA and JAL dream liners have 2-4-2, every other Dreamliner has 3-3-3. It's honestly not much less than an standard long haul economy seat anyway.

    The concept of this airline is that you are able to choose what to include in Your ticket price. When you order tickets you can chose to og all bare and only pay for the seat and no extras, such as Food, drinks etc. Or you can buy ticket With Food and drinks included in the price. Your Choice if you want to pay for the airline Food or want to bring Your own Food onboard. Alternatively should you change Your mind when seated on the airlplane and you want Food / drinks, you can order it from the snack bar. No airline gives you free Food or drinks. On regulare Airlines, Food, drinks, luggages fees etc are included in the often higher price for the ticket but is hidden as part of the total. With Norwegian it is a more transparent system where you choose yourself and know what you are paying for. Norwegian on longhaul flights use international crew, including americans, asians and Europeans.

    • @AirClipscom
      @AirClipscom  Před 9 lety

      Jesper Provoost Dear Jesper, very interesting question. Flying Norwegian is highly recommended to their actual target group: travelers with a high cost conciousness seeking a proper product for low fares. The aircraft is brand new and nicely equipped - you get what you pay. The Premium Class actually appears like a very nice Premium Economy to me - not like a Business Class: food out of paper boxes, drinks other than water to be paid between the meals and an amentity kit for purchase only (USD 20).

      Assuming is not the same as presuming, i.e. basing information of previously learned data points.

    Oh, en ting....jeg forstar ikke...asiatiske kabin fly for et norsk flyselskap? Gjor ikke sense.. are de snakker flytende norsk? Veldig merkeilig!!

      It's cheaper to hire people from Thailand, than people from Norway. Er du norsk el?

      Colonialpara Another interesting detail is that you can have an amenity kit in Premium Class... if you pay 20 Euro in advance.

      +Julia Sowinska well that's true. British, American, Delta and the rest of the legacy airlines are very expensive

    The Boeing 787 is a very cramped plane in Economy because most airlines use a 3-3-3 seating. Be warned. My recent experience on Qatar was not good. czcams.com/video/aUsyhMg_YTQ/video.html

      guitar singapore travels you wont find a long haul aircraft that doesn't use at least a 3-3-3 seating. Some even do 3-4-3 seating.

    • @guitarsingaporeRapture
      @guitarsingaporeRapture Před 9 lety

      Yes, but the seats are wider on other aircraft even with 3-3-3 or 3-4-3. The 3-3-3 on Airbus A350 and B777 is comfortable. The 3-4-3 config on an A380 is very comfortable.

    • @TomCook1993
      @TomCook1993 Před 9 lety

      seat width is the airline's configuration option not the aircraft manufacturer's.

    • @JustinLHopkins
      @JustinLHopkins Před 8 lety

      The 787 isn't cramped if airlines chose 8 abreast, which they were originally supposed to. Blame Qatar. Some airlines are talking about adding an 11th seat on the A380. They're making it hell.

    Generally speaking at I don't mind the air and engine noise but this was especially loud and annoying. Why don't parents give their children some mild calmative when flying. Even a bit of wine inflight won't hurt them. Or take a walk around the cabin a couple of times. Sheesh already.
