- Hello Everyone! Welcome to my channel. Here i will be sharing with you a lot of information about the monkeys through story telling. The history of the Amari troop dating back to the 1960's.. I will be giving up all my secrets that i have kept hidden for a very long time! I hope you join me for this whimsical journey. Thank you for watching!

@@cathrinewhite7629 I, too, followed Ally & Albert. Ally was so similar to Ashley in so many ways! I now know that they were sisters! Yes, it was a very sad day when they were taken amidst all the COVID stuff. Ally had been so protective of chubby Emily, and continued to be kind to her a even after Albert was born. It was heartbreaking to know that they were taken out like that. Ally showed great love for her little boy.
That was fantastic. It's so great to read something good about these lovely animals. I love Ashley to. She's just so sweet.

Now I understand Ashley so much more. I wondered why she could interact with people and monkeys. And why she adopted Amanda so sweetly, then she helped Libby become a great foster mom. Thanks.

Hi Cathy,
Yes, I read Rose's history but Bonita wasn't listed and I know I read that she is in one of the bios. I think it must have the one MM did on Ashley. I was pretty sure Bonita is Rose's great aunt and that is why she so easily got accepted into her troop. I am trying to find Ashley's story so I can read it again. I like to keep things straight in my mind .I just wish that some of these commenter would quit disputing MM's facts. They sre not privy to the papers or journals kept by the family that bred and raised this group of monkeys. IMO, MM knows her stuff and some of the old park employees just want to be important by disputing what she has researched. Oh well, I k ow who I believe.

@@cathylewanski7881 , they can not "breed for girls" without selection through costly lab creation of embryos, hormonal treatment of mother to develop her uterus & artificial insemination. Or euthanize every male infant. Female Macaques reproduce starting after age 3-5 years, and then about every 18 months usually with single births and about 5 births in a lifetime. That is slow for breeding.

I can't tell you how awesome this is. I started watching the Amari and Amber troops 3 or so years ago and have always been curious about them. Ashley has always been so sweet most of the time. I love primates but it became a horror watching once I realized the VOs were bad people. Every day a new tragedy so, I stopped watching. This so far is different, these are the things people want, I think 😉

It is so good to know Ashley's history - I had read a couple of details last year and wondered what her history was. I have also read some very unbelievable things ignorant people had written about her! I always feel thankful when the vos feed her and treat her with respect.

Ashley has been far from gentle most the time. She will let them grab her belly after she steals them, then she runs off a bit and starts dropping them down rocks many times. She specifically tried to kill Donny when he was a baby. After kidnapping him she took him to the rafters of the pagoda and continued to sit on him, step on his hard and jump on him. I think honestly she was jealous of Dana who was the lowest ranking in the troop. And who also treated Donny horrible. Dana, or Ditzy Dana was not very bright. Needless to say, against all odds Donny did survive.
Just subscribed after watching this video!! The amari troop was the first monkey's I started watching and kept watching until they we're no more and I've always loved Ashley!! Have you seen the video of Ashley sitting next to Kunthia trying to grab the little baby away from her? She sits patiently next to her. Eventually Kunthis starts to pat her head and play with her hair. Ashley just sits there quietly enjoying. This video sure explain a lot! THANK YOU

Beautiful story. I actually teared up hearing about her babies dying and it explains why she is always willing to love on all of the babies and finally although adopted she loves Amanda dearly. ❤

I've followed the Amari troop history as far back as Brutus. (shortly before was killed.) At one time there was a log kept on them and sadly I didn't think to make a copy of it. I appreciate what you are doing here and for everything this poor troop was put thru their story deserves to be told. I have no idea how you learned all of this but you have been accurate from when I started following them. The back stories are appreciated and have gave a sense of completion to many of the questions I've wondered over the years. Bless you.

i LOVE ASHLEY SO MUCH! She is so faithful, loving and compassionate! She reminds me so much of monkey Ally. They both have the same characteristics, and maternal instincts like humans. We watch these monkeys wondering if a certain one was born into the troop or one that was released and watch their action in the troop and how different it may/or may not their living circumstances plays a part in being in the troop. Thank you for your work on gathering all this information!

@@chuckdeuces911 Certainly, there are many VOs that toss out crazy misleading titles. In those cases, one never sees any feed back from these guys. There's only one I can think of and he would walk around narrating. I stopped watching when I figured out how phoney his "love" for these monkeys really was.
However, there have also been a few exceptions...very few, I admit. Usually, it's when they are new. The big hearted ones don't last. I'm planning on following this individual, unless or until I find good reason not to. BTW, your name is quite clever Dr. Joseph "Let's Go" Brandon. Giving away your politics with this particular code is telling. I won't bother to look, but I bet nearly all of your comments and/or replies are negative and critical. It's the nature of the beast, so to say. It begs the question, are you even a real doctor, and if so, what studies did you earn your doctorate?
Note: I agree with the fact that it entirely possible that Ashley is producing a little bit of milk. The more Amanda nurses, it could even grow to a good flow of milk. We shall see.
I'll buy a loving, possibly made up, story about these monkeys any day! Far better than watching every other vo chasing, teasing, kicking, harassing, and even drugging the monkeys to get content. Not giving a damn about any of them or the harm they're causing them. So much nonsense with their ridiculous titles. I love these monkeys, so I watch select channels, unfollow most. This one seems hopeful so far. Much more enjoyable than ANY OTHERS by far.

I downloaded a translator app to listen to what the VO's were saying to each other. Put it this way... The animals were behind the camera. These videos have potential and more informative, false or not. I study animal behaviour and at least monkeys are transparent. If they are stressed, you can see it

The relationship between Ashley and this baby reminds me of Teresa's and Solita's relationship a few years back. This little girl looks a lot like Solita, except Solita's eyes were larger. God bless them all.

It is very interesting. Thank you for explaining. I did not realize that Ashley, Theresa and Bella and Cara were all sisters. I imagine it was scary for Ashley to be dropped off in the forest. Also I wonder why the family hasn’t made sure to look out for this troop of monkeys financially. Ashleys human family were very well off and I am sure their dad wanted her to be looked after for life.
from what has been said Ashley received an inheritance to feed and care for her, but the money is being abused to buy new motorbikes, fancy jewelry, and big homes by the abusing Vo's.
#tbell They did provide funds for them. The foundation pigtails at Phnom Bros were also from this family.
The owner paid quite a bit to move them up there. I was told that Nissa, Miriah, Ally & Preetie (sp?) were a few. Most are either dead or very old now.
Anyway, the family had multiple cases of cancer & eventually the funding stopped. That's one reason they moved Ally & queen Amara plus Amara's hybrid troop in 2020, to another province.
Look up "pigtail Nissa and newborn". Nissa was as gorgeous as Ashley- and a personality like her too.😂I just loved her! 🙏🏼 She was epileptic but still got around.

@@cathylewanski7881 i would ask Monkey Momma. It seems he had a group and they split the group up when he got too sick. Ashley was one of his favorites tho.🙏🏼 I believe he had pigtails for breeding and pets , which is how Ashley came about. So the answer is, yes.
@@cathylewanski7881 The entire history goes back to 1971. They were bred and kept as pets only. The dad died and only his eldest daughter took over the role. She is extremely ill and going through chemo and radiation. However, she and her granddaughters still take care of Ashley (to this day). They technically don’t own the others, but you can see that Ashley is never touched (culled) because she is still considered private property. During Covid, that kept Ashley for several more days during the week. They also show her an iPad where she can still recognize Lori (Amari’s daughter AND Lori’s baby girl who’s now 1.5ish).

I feel that I would have taken the same decision about her having babies we all know that she loves all of the baby monkeys that cross her path. She was 14, closer to 15 years old in October 2018. You can count her years.

#DeniseFarmer per WLA Amari passed of her diabetes a couple years ago. #AlfieHundin , one of the commenters here, said that Lori had a baby at the WLA sanctuary a year or so ago!🙏🏼

In this video, you said Chan gave birth to 5 females (Bonita isn't one of them) and 3 males but in Bonita's story you say 6 females (including Bonita) and 2 males. I gather the correct count is in Bonita's story?

That was awesome. So Ashley was fixed because of not being able to carry. I worry about her now. I don’t think she’s pregnant if she’s been fixed. It’s very rare for them to get pregnant it can happen but I think someone should check her out. Also Rose is related to that group she’s been having miscarriages. And the birth of her gorgeous daughter Rainbow wasn’t great but with loving care Rose pulled her through.

What a heart breaking story! Their original names are so beautiful!! Thank you!! I can’t wait to hear about Dolly.. I know her story will be awesome. I never thought I would say it.. but I really miss the old girl . Hopefully we can get a little update about Dalton & Dana. This gives us a lot to look forward to. It was such awesome and exciting days watching nonstop the Amari Troop . It happened so fast when the authorities came in then they didn’t last with the odds against them as such. Then the heartbreak 💔 of not being able to watch them all together ever again was just horrible. After that the Virus took everyone by surprise.. thankfully I couldn’t help but notice non of the monkeys were affected. I appreciate you very much.
