- In today's video I want to talk about Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics ( that's a long video game title ) coming to Nintendo Switch and other systems.
More specifically why it seems that the PAL Region is not getting a physical edition of this collection.

Pre-ordered at Game, and i hope there is a physical version for us here, otherwise il have to purchase from the US like i did with the capcom fighting collection, which is good as well.

Not sure about the PAL region, but I'm hoping that the HD widescreen version from the PS3 will also be made available as a different mode.

I don't think that this collection will feature that as it is the arcade collection and they would probably sell that to us later if this collection does well 😅

Technically speaking, PAL (as a means of TV signal encoding) has been discontinued in most territories that had previously used it (including UK) in favour of *Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial (DVB-T)(SD) and *Digital Video Broadcasting - Second Generation Terrestrial* (DVB-T2)(HD).
Getting back on-topic, I'm certainly hoping that we, in the UK, will get a physical release of the MvC Fighting Collection, but something tells me we won't know more on this until an _actual release date_ has been announced. (And until then, I'll just be waiting _(eagerly and impatiently)_ before I decide to make a pre-order.)

For the Playstation 4 is a must to have for the fans of marvel and capcom this is the best collection fighting game ever hopefully the release is really soon.

i remember being sad the Baten Kaitos remaster collection didn't get official release over in NA, i wish these companies wouldn't do dumb region lock stuff like this
I understand for sales figures in different regions but, why not sell games in all regions... 🤣

Game in the UK has it up for Pre-order and Capcom's website if you switch to en-uk it says Digital/Physical with the Pegi Rating below it.

I suspect a PAL version is on it's way. We just seem to get information later. Similar thing happened with the Street Fighter 6 Collectors Edition. No details or pricing on a PAL version until it was within a few weeks of launch if I remember correctly. While on the main site, info for NTSC versions was available for quite a long time prior to launch. The previous fighting collection (and the beat em up bundle) both got PAL physical releases, and I suspect that will be the same here.
If not, I will import them. They are available on Amazon already for pre-order, and there will be sites like Play Asia that will no doubt stock them as well. However I understand that isn't always an option for everyone.
Looking forward to adding these to my collection though.

I know we do tend to get physical editions later but I do worry that we might not 😓
On the Nintendo Switch there are examples of such from Capcom themselves:
● The Belt Action Collection
(did this get a PAL physical version?)
● Resident Evil Revelation
● Dragons Dogma
etc...
Luckily, you can buy these on Amazon but why not just have these available in the PAL region normally 🤔...
For Marvel Vs Capcom there is a chance that the physical version will sell out or become very expensive to import too 😱

@@QuesterMage no worries. its good they are making a physical version since the fight fighting game collection that came out a couple of years ago was only digital here. had to pay a bit extra to get the american version

I hope this means we are getting a physical version in the PAL region. Although the digital/physical bit on the website could also be read as a way of not confirm digital or physical only in certain regions 😅

The assumption is that more announcements are on the way for this game. If there are, we might get more information about the boxed version for the PAL region and possibly more stores will stock it too 🏆😆.
Unfortunately, not much information is available for the PAL version of this game 😔.

This was confirmed by VGP a couple of weeks ago on Facebook (and presumably twitter) on 24th of June with this statement saying VGP has been able to confirm that all the games included in the Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics are contained on the cartridge/disc.
