Actually yes, we have something in common, I am an intermediate or say Junior Software Engineer. In my development Team I have the least years of experience which is about 2/3years. For some reason this led me into DevOps, currenrly taking learnings for Kubernetes from your playlist. You have been helpful to me on my DevOps journey. I will like to connect with you.

Your Kubernetes videos have been super helpful to me for my learning! I plan on targeting DevOps as my career trajectory. I'm a sysadmin right now but previously I was basically a software engineer for a company that builds racks for datacenters.
It was pretty cool getting to see so many varieties of computers and all that cabling that goes into racks! I feel like it really demystified cloud computing for me.
I'm glad you like your career and ability to make content full-time, it is very helpful, you're a great instructor, and I hope you will help inspire more women to get into technological positions. :)

Really interesting to hear this story. I've been a developer for 30 years now. I still get imposter syndrome on every new project and I always say 'it's too complicated and I will never understand it', but of course I do... eventually. In the early days, we didn't even have any devops or even source control. Once my code had gone to QA, that was the end point for me. I had no knowledge of how it actually got out to customers.

Do you ever made videos or have any advice on how to get started in DevOps for someone in IT but not exactly in development routes. I pretty much have the basics and fundamentals I believe however without the production experience. Now I landed a job, to my surprise as well in DevOps. They willing to give me a chance to learn about developing the infrastructures and stuffs. The amount of tech stacks are exactly like you said, overwhelming. It took me weeks to get through a simple task in which again, like you said triggering this imposter syndrome.
Unlike blockchain, DevOps i feel are so much more technical and complicated. This is hard but i dont want to fail either. Hope you could share some advice.

The more natural road to CI/CD is from automation test engineer to devOps, like me for example.
I don't trust any developer with a devOps role for a very simple reason. Devs don't know advanced testing principles, the most you can get out out of them is unit test and even those are shaky at best from what i've seem.
Software testers progress more naturally into devOps roles because they already know ISTQB, the levels of testing, techniques of testing, testing types, etc so when you use tools like Jenkins for example and you schedule jobs (anything that is automation implemented is a job in Jenkins for those who are unfamiliar )for testing, it will be alot easier for you to understand the shift left culture of CI/CD.

Have you been able to find a network of women in tech in Vienna? I also live here, and have found that challenging.

I started my career two years ago as junior backend developer. However, I've being recruited as DevOps Engineer for some reasons where it leads me to do this jobs until now. However, I'm a bit frustating due to bunch of technologies in DevOps that I have to learn each month so I think that I'd like to jump back into backend development. What do you think guys ? is it a good choice ?

Hi @nanajanashia I am a great fan of your work. I took all your training. I have taken your python and golang also. Python is simply the best. Your presentation is awesomer even for simple topics. It means a lot to make difference in kubernetes field and for the DevOps arena. Thank you for all your hard work and the people who worked with you to put the content together. I know how hard it is.. we watch and skip and run a away. You made a big difference in my life setting foundation I have taken many many trainings yours is the best and it means wolds best. If you have time or interest see if you can do Data science and statistical analysis. There are world of problems to solve if this reaches wider audience it may benefit the future I think. Thanking you.. Sincerely Suriya M
