Great work, Hayden-Chicago marathon is definitely the one! 10/10. I was in the wave just behind listening to the Blues Brothers at the start:magic atmosphere the whole course. You've captured it so well.

Great marathon and perfect weather for it. One negative was the bag pickup which was a joke, you shouldn't have to queue for 45 minutes after you've just run a marathon

I thought running vests were banned at Chicago? At 10:04 you see a guy with a race bib on and a vest. I plan to run Chicago 2024, and I always run with a vest. Wasn't looking forward to having to use a combination of race belt, hand-held, and course provided drinks.

Full hydration vests are not permitted.
Runners are not allowed to bring in their own liquids. If one has a camelback with a reservoir and hoses coming out of it, those may cause one to get stopped. If one wears a vest when they run to hold keys, phone, cards, gels, etc.; those should be okay.

@@makethebestofwhatsaround3113 Ya, that's what I assumed, I never use the back reservoir, but I swear by chest mounted soft flasks.
@@timtrenholm3698 Carrying an empty soft flask with some Tailwind/powder in the bottom should work. The fine young ladies of Chicago stand at the front of the aid stations to fill the runners’ bottles from their gallon jugs of water.
@@makethebestofwhatsaround3113 This is brilliant, 2 scoops and a Nuun tablet per bottle, and get the water on the course. I have a lot of time before Oct 2024 to figure this out, but I like it!
