      @@seenthroughglass you should look into whether or not a 4-seater car can actually be MOT'd as a 2-seater car with no hassle. At the very least, don't chuck away any of the bits you've just removed. 😉

    One of the best video’s on your channel. Always interesting to see how much someone can do without any experience with working on cars. Make the whole project a DYI project! I certainly will keep watching if you do.

    Well done Sam. I started working on my own cars a few years ago. At first I was really nervous, but started doing simple things in the interior, like changing a radio... Then I tried to change the engine oil, and now, I am no expert by any mean, but I've lost the fear. Also, youtube tutorials help A LOT. Cheers from Spain.

    I know that feel, I bought the M3 for a track car build 2 years ago now, spent 30k on parts and it's sat on my drive since :(( Excited to see what this becomes. We should have a track car show down in 2026

    Way to go Sam! One tip for the beginning DIY-er. Grab freezer tape and sandwich bags. Label everything you take out. Keep all the bolts together. Take a photo of all the bits. This may be an obvious statement but someone out there doesn't know that sometimes parts are designed for the left or right side of the car.

    An extension bar on the ratchet can make life a lot easier. Hold onto the extension when it stops ratcheting and then you can keep using the socket instead of your fingers.

    Whenever I do these types of things, I always put everything inn ziploc bags with little notes to myself about how it goes together (or where I stored the photos showing how it went together). OCD as heck, but I do like old-me more when I help current me! Great video, cheers!

    A great do it yourself mod I did to my Abarth is a forge motorsport induction kit. It looks like a lot of work but I was really mechanically unsure when working on my car, the induction kit was the first major thing I did and with the instructions they give plus some helpful CZcams vids I did it. The induction kit looks amazing, does add a bit of horsepower but is the ground work for adding even more power later on but it sounds incredible! Please try and attempt this mod Sam, it’s a game changer! Love the channel and all the vids and social media, keep it up!

    Keep going with DIY mods. It's going to be more rewarding for you Sam, and you will have attachment to the car you probably won't experience if you just get someone else to do for you. and it should help keep the costs down, so you can do more.
