I always thought the part about missing their families was the most real. It's not so much literal, I think. You know, like being a child again and loving unconditionally and finding out that everyone you love will one day die. In part, that child has to be left behind.

i really think that they´re trying to be honest in what they´re doing...they LOVE music. they don´t need money or fame. i really think that congratulations is such a good album...and i like it when you can think about it, about the lyrics and have your own personal interpretation. the "duty" of music is to move peoples hearts and minds, right? and not how many people buy their records or what an old, frustrated and cynical editor thinks about it...
great interview, i was surprised by how Andrew seems so lucid in this one, it was a nice touch. :]

God they are all so great. this is one of my favorite interviews cause they seem more real. Less sarcastic to a point.

I think a lot of bands are somewhat sarcastic about their music. If they had fun making it then I don't see the problem! I'm kinda glad they aren't serious about Time to Pretend, granted it is my favorite song of theirs. These guys remind me a lot of how kids in my town are. I could totally see myself chillin' with Andrew haha.

but like, some people can tolerate it. i absolutely cannot, i have a panic attack and it just is not good
I understand, I have a friend that feels the same as you. I understand having panic attacks, as I have had a number of them in my lifetime. The last one I had about 2 yrs ago. I was in a pharmacy and as I picked up my script my stomach started to feel sick (never has happened before while shopping;) Then I walked to aisles down to the last aisle to check out the vitamins (nobody else in the aisle)..moved to the center of the aisle. Started feeling very nauseas,,heart started pounding hard and fast. Just then, out of the right corner of my eye a very old black man in raggedy clothes turned the corner to my aisle, I could not move at all,.All my energy was being drained out of me. I was sweating profusely.Then I could feel him in back of me, standing there, while I just struggled to remain on my feet. I prayed to myself that he would move and go. Once he saw he could not take me over (I guess, because I swear the man was a dead person's spirit)..I then saw him out of the left corner of my eye, he left the aisle. I could barely move,my body felt very heavy, but I struggled, trying to run almost, all the way to the end of the aisle and grabbed a bottle of spring water and drank it all down. x
yeah thats what happens to me, im on meds for it but i still get anxiety attacks often. x
