I was shocked that it wasn't even in Top 10 and so many countries didn't vote for it. Very fun, great performance and the catchiest song of the evening.
I feel it was just three points behind of top 10.
My country Israel got 3rd place back then with Kan - Ive just now heard this Turkish song for the first time ever and think this one should have got the 3rd place...
Because of racist Europe it didn’t get votes unfortunately.❤️🇹🇷

I was 11 years old when I heard this song and in 2024 I still remember it. 🎉
İzel and Reyhan Karaca later became famous pop singers. Can was the son of Şevket Uğurluer, the composer. He didn't have a singing career but he did very well here in this performance. One of Turkey's best entries in ESC.
Totally under rated for that year!!
This was the first Turkish entry I heard pre-1997, and it was love at first listen. It's very infectious, with a bubbly performance and just all kinds of joy. The lyrics suggest you need to make the most of life, and I think Iki Dakika captures that in spades. At the end, it blows up my opinion of Turkish Eurovision entries pre-Dinle (of which two were my favorites in 1980 and 1986). My 5th of 1991.
Have you heard their entry for 1979 .....but Turkey withdrew from the contest . But I just love the song ....one of my favourite Turkish entries ..

This song is so big and joyful, I love it. The performers clearly had a blast performing it too. It came 12th, which was Turkey's second-best result at that time.

I remember that all of us in our neigbhourhood in Greece, we were lauging because in 2.06 we saw the singer's underwear. Innocent days. Now, many things have changed.

The orchestra sound pretty tight on this one from 91, but they're playing along to a rhythm track which probably helped a lot.

O yıllar için Türkiye için çok fazla hareketli idi ama bir o kadar da başarılı ve çok nota'lı bir eser kaldı ki ben bu parçayı canlı canlı 1991'de tv'de ilk duyduğumda bile şaşırmıştım ve gurur duydum çünkü genellikle bizim şarkılar ağır ve fazla güzel değilde oysa bu şarkı belki de en güzel ve en hareketli Türkçe şarkı idi ve bana göre halen daha eurovision şarkı yarışmada en güzel ve anlaşabilir bir şarkı olarak hafızalarımızda kaldı !!
