- There will only be 250 examples of the 4-seat, 4-Passenger Volvo XC90 T8 hybrid in the United States. Let's see the details that make this XC90 so... Excellent! Keep in mind this vehicle is using the same wheelbase as all other XC90 models, the real magic happens on the inside of the cabin, where the rear seats are replaced by the front seats. It gets more eccentric from there.

This is the Rolls Royce of an SUV! The Bentayga has a competitor!
I love the XC90. This one needs more backseat room for dual rear ottoman seats that are fully reclinable. Still unique.
You could have had more legroom in the back if they hadn't used the partition glass.
Partition glass was for the audio
brilliant, I love this very XC90. The sunshade blinds should have been powered and not manual. nice one
I enjoyed this video
Esse e um carrão de luxo bmw, Audi,Mercedes-Benz etc etc não jegua nem aos pneus dessa volvo lindoooooo
Drives a 100k plus Volvo says 'hi how are doing, nice jeep' hahahaha
+Deng Vic That's how a "chat and cut" works.
Very nice.
갖고싶다...
3:13 You can see a space gap between the partition and the roof lining. Which is right by the ear of the passenger, so what kind of quality is that sound deadening partition. Looks cheap for a 6 figure car.
Excellent review of this Excellent SUV, btw how is the ride quality? Is it better than the standard XC90? I think engineers at Volvo has tweaked something to make it different from the others
It's the same XC90 configuration as the T8. Ride quality is the same as the T8. Wheelbase is the same size. Rear doors are the same size. The downside: it's not armored. I think it should be armored.
New Car Spin Some reviewers said that the ride quality is a bit harsh even with air suspension, what do you feel when you were driving it? Is it really harsh?
+Arya Pradhana D Hardly. I'm sure if it was pushed hard, the body roll would still be there.
Why should it be armored? You know it would cost atleast 3x the price. Even Rolls-Royces aren't available armored from the factory.
+CinemaUnited Anyone can rip out the back seats and replace them with front seats. The wheelbase and rear doors didn't change. So the extra $40k for a T8 excellence would be offset with armor. Then again, the lowly 4-cylinder T6 wouldn't have enough power to move.
Why do none of the reviews of this car show the storage space in back? I'm assuming there isn't much since they never show it.
+The Answer Because that part is for the hired help.
This is a really nice SUV and I admire the Vovlo brand but $105k yikes. That's Porche money.
I've only driven Japanese suv's; other than oil changes, bateries, & tires, I've had zero issues with my cars. Anyone know about Volvo reliability and quality after the warranty is done? I'm interested in buying an 2017 XC90.
+p Go read Volvo owners" forums.
i have xc90 in India , i purchased in January this year and from that time its been in company for all most 5 months for break and air suspension problem on regular basis
customer service from volvo really sucks ,dont' buy this car if you get in free also from company
The back seats look so crammed. Don't look comfortable and luxurious. Just some tables and fridge.
Believe it or not, it was spacious. And keep in mind, this XC90 Excellence is using the same platform as the normal XC90. They didn't extend the wheelbase or enlarge the rear doors like the did on the extended Range Rover. This XC90 impresses on that aspect... they were able to pimp their ride without having to do much other than what you observed. They deserve credit for that. Not many people will voluntarily pay that much for a Volvo, but that's why it will be a special vehicle. Unfortunately, the one issue I have is that it's not armored, and I think a vehicle like the XC90 Excellence should be if it's made for VIP clientele.
i believe it looks so crammed because it has a very large headroom
This is nice but it isn't worth 105k in my opinion, at 90k it would be a better deal. I would rather go for a Range Rover which has more quality materials and more tech. Those tables in a range rover are electronic by the way, the Range Rover Autobiography and Autobiography SV are miles ahead in my opinion. There isn't even enough leg room for such executive seating in this XC 90 they should have stretched it give it that Limo feel cars in this price segment have. Manual sun shades for the rear windows? At 105k this car is beyond over priced.
useless extras. Love the car, bur all this rubbish in I don't like it.
too small of a vehicle for $100k. Volvo is making a big mistake if they think they will sell a trick out xc90. Maybe Volvo is too lazy to develop a fullsize luxury SUV. Not money well spent..Chinese boss should be shaking his head
Ubon94 believe it or not in Germany the car costs about 130,000$. I wish I would had the US prices here...
Probably only the market in the States want a full-size SUV, and the biggest market for Volvo is China now. Try to drive a full-size car in their city then you probably will know why BMW X5, Volvo XC90 will be the biggest car most rich people there would like to buy.
Ubon94 This is not meant to be a full size SUV. This is a pimped out ride for those living the rich life.
listen don't let this piece of crap fool you...it's garage just like the one we own..never again..do your research and look at all the lawsuits behind the xc90 turbo. ...volvo do not stand behind their word.
+Rodney S Which is why you'll note I called the T6 XC90 the worst car I've driven. It's even on my "Worst Cars I've Driven" CZcams playlist.
Rodney only the turbos have issues This is not indicative of every Volvo model.
