@Alex Jones I wasn't making that assertion, but Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Midsommar, Ad Astra, The Lighthouse...not saying they're necessarily better than PF, just that there are some great originals, which was my original point.

You forgot Marcellus bandaid was actually because vig rhames actually cut himself shaving before filming the bar scene with Willis. Vig was gong to remove it and have makeup cover it up but Tarantino said no and for him to keep the bandaid... hence the bandaid in that scene! Brilliant

Interesting that Gary Oldman/Tim Roth were almost cast as Jules and Vincent. In 1990 they played Rosencrantz and Guildenstern in a comedy about Hamlets two friends called "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead". Their characters were very "Jules and Vincent" like, and of course they were both english. Coincidence?

quite possible he saw it and got the idea for a 'criminal take' with his having worked them influenced the (re)casting...
Being a 'Functional Illiterate" as the woman described him I could believe that after 3 years he forgot who the leads were; especially with Oldman 'disappearing' into so many of his roles
