I love it.Mine is an 09 base and I am having kooks longtubes,x pipe, and borla s type axle backs installed in a few weeks.Im also debating with my auto to stage 1 or 2.Im not really trying to do a stall but my end game is an a&a supercharger and would like to have it tuned for 7psi and run 93 pump gas.I also have the same color as yours
If you’re going to supercharge it I would get a cam that is best suited for boost. The Texas speed stage two cam was pretty aggressive for the stock converter but my tuner got it to work. Took a few tries though
Good info,I appreciate you sharing that info.I will probably just stick with the stage 1
Sounds awesome💓
Sound amazing wow
Thanks!
Vette Sounds and looks awesome man😎👍🏾🔥💯.....I’m from Louisiana myself ......looking to add a c6GS next my c4 1987
New sub😎
That's just fantastic.
Colby Graves 🙏🏻🏁
This is awesome!
Xander Cage 🤙🏻🏁
Sounds SICK! Nice
Glenn Lee 🙏🏻🏁🇺🇸
2013 GS just like mine, you can tell it’s a 13 by the steering wheel I believe? It looks so much nicer than the other C6 steering wheels
Daenerys Targaryen yes the 2012s and 13s got the updated seats and steering wheel, which is a big upgrade imo!
you shall be missed
operamatt indeed 🙏🏻🏁
I’m from Louisiana too!
Where did you get that cut out opener? I just bought an 08 ls3 car and I'm loving it. I just pulled the fuse to keep them open. But I'd love the option to close them when I want. Your car sounds incredible. I've got the 6 speed auto and debating what cam to run myself. I love the way this sounds.
I’ll try to add a link for the remote today. Stage 2 was awesome but it did affect the daily driving ability (low vacuum for brakes, some surging at idle). I would start with a set of longtube headers and a tune first 🏁
I added a link to the Mild 2 Wild controller in the description. Its really nice to have the option between quite and loud.
@@RaztechPowersports I ordered the mild 2 wild kit right away. Thank you! I think that's an awesome kit. I have a problem with doing one thing at a time. I've heard headers and a tune wake these things up a lot
@@fonzdreamsbig big time! About 50 more hp with Longtube headers and a tune
Nasty af
🏁🏁
Could you make a vid with a few flybys? Sounds siiiiiick 👌🏻
Actually just sold the car last week :( But let me tell you, it violent at WOT
Did you really have to mash the breaks when at a dead stop since you had the stock stall? And was it jerky at all? I really don’t want to have to get a higher rated stall so was hoping you could give me some insight. I don’t mind the rocking but really just wanna know if the car jerks at low speeds or if a good tune makes it really drivable. I’m gonna get it tuned by Late Model Racecraft in Houston, just not sure if I should stick with a stage 1 for say screw it and get the stage 2
I talked to G-Force in Houston a few days ago. I’m looking to do a cam stage 2. If you have the automatic A6 (mine is a LS3 09) then stage 2 is the max you can do on stock converters. No stall required according to that shop. They are very reputable Chevrolet shop. I know of LMR as well but consider g force too :)
That cams lope....
What part of LA are you in? I've got a similar setup - would be great to meet up sometime!
njedwardz actually just sold it a few weeks ago, but I’m sure you’ll see it at local car show in Baton Rouge or Hammond.
😍
Did you have any issue with the headers hanging too low? seems like this is a common issue with TSP headers and is a reason im hesitant to buy them.
123SandW man they do hang kind of low. Just one pipe actually. My car was lowered slightly and it did kiss a few speed bumps. Besides tall speed bumps, no problems.
I have them on my 09 the driver side definitely hangs too low.
You think this cam is good on stock lifters? The chop is beautiful
I believe so and yes this cam sounded killer 🏁
I have a 2013 grandsport and I just bought texas speed long tube catless headers and xpipe. What do you know about fitment issues on these headers?? A lot of people are telling me that they are difficult to install. Did you have any issues installing them???
I have to do a little bit of trimming before the collector on the header. Also the fitment was tight around the rear subframe. Just takes time and patience.
Was the engine an LS3?
Yes
when you plan to leather wrap the dash and doors with red stitch and , suede factory 427 wheel $300 GM ?
I got a stitched and padded black leather console door lid with cross flags(super comfortable) with an excellent leather wrapped wheel on my Black 08 convertible when I bought it. I test drove a Z06 a while ago and just the stock console lid made me want to through it out the window.
How is the driving with stock converter?
It really wasn’t that bad. Did have to stand on the break a little harder because of the lesser vacuum.
What other exhaust did you do, I want exhaust, but was planning on keeping my dual mode exhaust, thanks
That was the factory dual mode exhaust + header and cam
Whats the total hp numbers
You can run this cam on a stock stall ?
Yes but the stage 2 was slightly pushing it
Ya currently running the Tick Performance stock stall cam on my Auto GS but I wanna go bigger so I can do some heads with it and I heard the TSP stage 2 is the biggest you can go on the stock stall but haven’t been able to get much info on how it drives with a stock stall
@@mikeycairo78 He drive completely fine if you have a good tuner. A little bit of surging but it was mostly the lack of vacuum (brakes) at idle that bothered me slightly
Ya that’s what my main concern is the lack of vacuum and I end up getting a 2 second delay when I hit the brakes
@@mikeycairo78 yeah it happens too.. I was kicking around the idea of adding a 12v vacuum pump
Surprised you were able to run stock stall with stage 2… that’s 12 degrees of overlap. What length pushrod did you go with?
This cam works with the factory pushrods and rockers. I did put solid bushings in the rockers. The only problem was a lack of vacuum at idle but it was doable
@@RaztechPowersports you had enough lifter preload with 7.4 length? Yeah I’m gonna go stage 1 for better drivability since I drive it everyday
@@peterantonopoulos3373 yeah for daily driving, stage 1 for sure
@@RaztechPowersports you think with 2.5 degrees of overlap I’ll be ok with vaccum for brakes? My car is an auto as well
@@peterantonopoulos3373 yes the stage 1 cam will be better. That heavy chop doesn’t make for good vacuum lol
What are the specs on this cam if possible
Tsp stage 2
Nice wheels. What kind are they?
baby shark thanks, OEM C7 Zo6 wheels and tires.
Brad Raziano they are amazing looking wheels! I have black on my c6 and it was a huge enhancement
B Mann my friend has them in black on a ruby red Grand Sport and it’s sexy... 🏁
How much hp did you gain?
100 RWHP 👍🏻
@@RaztechPowersports so when you say RWHP, is the the power to the wheels? What will the crank be?
@@Chestnut1998 yes on the dyno with an automatic. At the crank, maybe 130 hp ish
@@RaztechPowersports if you don’t mind me asking, how much on estimate with a cam/ headers be with a tune and Dino. I may have some help with the install.
@@Chestnut1998 about 2500-3500 when it was all done. Well worth it
Was this a manual car? If auto what stall?
2ss _rs automatic and with a good tuner, the stock stall is fine. Little choppy it traffic but totally doable.
Raztech Powersports thats good power through an auto i was thinking i was going have to put a stage 4 cam and big stall to make that power i really dnt want to have to drop the rear end/trans to install a converter 😂
2ss _rs unless your drag racing only, don’t do anymore than a stage 2 imo. Especially if you don’t want to swap the converter. Big job on a vette unfortunately.
Man I’m just going to say it those valves should never be closed on that car EVER
Agreed 😂
@@RaztechPowersports I just got bald eagle cam with TSP 3inch headers and stock exhaust and my god it’s BEAUTIFUL
What you get to replace the c6?
Hemi Lyfestyle used lexus rcf or zl1 🤷🏻♂️ need something with a backseat.
@@RaztechPowersports I have 3 kids that's why I have a built Chrysler 300c 😂 I know what you mean
Hemi Lyfestyle Yep you know the struggle.. I have a 2.5 year old and about to have a newborn. Both boys so I’m think I’ll get something next year 🏁
@@RaztechPowersports yeah I literally just had my newborn a week ago. I'm doing good so far. I bought a house last year so wife told me if I'm able to. I can buy a c6 next year. Hopefully everything goes good
Hemi Lyfestyle congrats and hell yeah man! The vette is a completely different experience, full racecar feeling when your driving.. just not very practical. My little boy would come sprinting out the house every time i started it and would cry when I left without him.. not a great feeling 🙃
What RPM does it idle at once it's warm?
James Golen around 700-750 when warm.
Sweet, sounds great. I'm looking at throwing one of these in mine soon.
James Golen thanks! Yeah man I was happy how the cam performed too. Still had plenty of low end torque but absolutely ripped above 3500 RPMs!
Give me a shout if you ever want to sell it!! Cash in hand.
She’s already gone 🥲
@@RaztechPowersports , I've been looking for this exact color combo and setup for months with no luck. Oh well.
@@garymeinen3663 ahh I know that feeling. Goodluck with the hunt!
What did this have for whp before you sold it.
476 RWHP
100 degree day and humid Louisiana 👀
@@RaztechPowersports was it a mustang dyno? Or a different kind of dyno?
@@champion1389 ahh I can’t remember 🙃
@@RaztechPowersports all good man lol
Exhaust valves at this point is literally useless....
gavin P They made a huge difference in person
What did the car end up making at what rpms?
Bryan Massey 477 RWHP. Can’t remember at what rpm. Cam had a nice torque curve. 100 degree day and mild tune
@@RaztechPowersports nice! Have a 2010 GS M6. Same cam, no underdrive. Went with 2" Kooks catless, waiting for them to get back from coating so they can be installed and car tuned.
Also went with the Halltech 108.
Bryan Massey yeah just being a manual, you’ll make more rear wheel horsepower. When you get it together it will be a ball 🏁
I can't wait! 490 would be great, 500 would be ecstatic. Was your remote setup the Grand Sport Registry? That came in the mail yesterday.
