    It's great to see a system like the i4wd on the Hondas. It seems like less to break. I love my Talon 1000x4. I think I may trade for a a 1000r though

    I love my Talon 1000R. I got the 3rd from the last 2019 one built. That’s what the dealership told me anyway. I hit trails and rock climbing. I hit some mud but not intentionally. LoL!! The rig is holding up perfectly. I put a set of Method Beadgrip wheels and some System3 XT300s in 33x10/R15s on it sense the day I bought it. No breaks and no failures so far. I bought it about 3 months into 2020 and they gave me a pretty good deal on it. $17,200. That was about $4K off so it was a no brainer for me. Thanks for sharing!!

    Let a few psi out of those tires and it would have been less wheel slip. Less likely to catch a flat on the sharp rocks too. You don't have beadlock on rims so you can't take too much out or the rims starts spinning inside the tire.

My understanding is that the mod is only useful for mud runners running huge tires and portals with the i4WD bypassed.

  • @buelllee8566
    @buelllee8566 Před 5 lety +1

    Not sure what advantages it shows? I true locker doesnt slip either wheel when engaged, slippage means losing traction. Watching one front wheel bite and los traction over and over doesnt seem like an advantage. Similar to Can Am.. If you watch the Talon Turbo first Test you can see them put it on a roller board and 3 wheels make many many rveloutions before the front wheel with traction finally starts pulling you up , For gods sake Honda, just put a manually operated front locker that completely engages 100% power to both front wheels once engaged. I just dont understand it.

    • @bishop198666
      @bishop198666 Před 4 lety +3

      it depends on what your going to be doing. in a race having a a bit of slip to that outside wheel will be advantage. obviously when climbing in low speeds you want full traction. but having said that i just got a talon and it has not got stuck once and my first trail was an intermediate rock crawling trail. this thing is a beast.

When there's a caravan of trailers from miles away loaded with side by sides, and the property gets destroyed and trash is left every where, land owners get pissed, and rightfully so. When it was just dirtbikes and quads, it wasn't so bad. Now every nonskilled driver can get a side by side and go into the woods. If you can drive a car, you can drive a side by side. Think of all the idiots that you encounter while driving on the road. Property half of those shitty car driving people own a side by side. They have ZERO respect for anyone else.
