There are a surprising amount of not only misguided and inexperienced craft/DIY videos out there, but many outright fake videos on YT. Seen it in gardening a lot, with others making whole videos on why what is being shown is impossible. Or saw a video on a “bicycle tire wind turbines” shown spinning like crazy and producing a small, but decent, amount of electricity, but with not a leaf moving on the vegetation right behind it and the comments full of people giving reasons why it is a fake.
Just beware that some videos show DIY projects that are bad ideas to total fakes.

I use crayons to add colour to my candles. It doesn’t separate & they burn well. I make fire starters this way.

this is very useful as my father and i are doing a small business and candle making is one of the things we're trying to do. so i was wondering as i saw the very same diy years ago when i got into the whole process in my teens that this person used a small mix of crayon with the wax. however it looked great and burned well when she did it, but i know it is an edited lie

A thicker wick would work with this. crayons use a thicker type of wax

Ok, I have question for you mi amigo. Here we go.
The other day I buy from Wal-Mart one white parafine candle odor less. Simple, I melted and I add black chips. But my purposes was make very black Candle. But guess what, doesn't work. My wick get to the point was clogget and turn off. So.
How we can make very black brither candle with out clogget?
So you've got a couple of things working against you. First is the candle that you melted down, a cheapo plain white candle from Wal-Mart is made of what is called "slack wax" which is basically bottom of the barrel cheap quality wax. Secondly, dye chips are not usually the highest quality wax either, usually not an issue and don't need to be high quality, but when you're pumping in tons of it to make an ultra black candle....all the cheap wax is working against you. Best bet... good quality wax and liquid candle dye. Additionally you may have to wick up a size or two to compensate for all of that extra color in your candle.
