I was fairly clueless about hw to properly EQ before I saw this video, best explanation I've seen anywhere. Thank you Mike!
The most straightforward tutorial ever on ProEQ 🙌 thanks Mike!
My absolute pleasure! Thank you :)
I find myself navigating to your channel more and more, particularly for Studio One. I appreciate the time and effort you put in to making these videos easy to follow and understand. Keep doing what you do! Thank you!
Thank you Tony, I'll keep trying!
FFT stands for Fast Fourier Transform, equation(s) used to transform from time domain to frequency domain.
The pro EQ is legit,I use it on drums every time before compression and seriously I bought a vintage EQ and I end up going on the stock plugins first.🗽📼
Amazing
FFT Fast Fourier Transform Is an algorythm to expose individual components to the signal .
Nice! Thank you :)
Mike , nice job! Good info and production. Good to see you with some S1 material.
Thanks
My pleasure :)
Thanks Mike. It's good to see you doing videos on Studio One again.
Hope to see more.
Andy
Cheers Andy. My pleasure :)
Big help mike, thank you for your videos helping us newbies learn this awesome software!
I wasn't aware of the thumb wheel as a tool to adjust the Q. Much more convenient than jumping from node to the knob. Thanks!
Glad to help!
Man, after watching your video on time tapping i started my music composition. I have watched Studio one official channel for 1 year but it didn't help me. You are so good in explaining. Indebted to you all my days!
Thanks James :)
FFT curve : FFT = Fast Fourier Transform. This is a Waveform Analysis tool that converts waveform data in the time domain into the frequency domain.
Wow thank you, thank you. I will support this channel ❤
I'm so glad you're making Studio 1 content, you taught me all I know about cakewalk, and I JUST started migrating to studio one last week!! One thing I'm really missing from cakewalk is the ease of comping through auditioning and promoting. Would love to see a video on comping in S1.
Thanks for the content Mike.
Thanks for being here Mike :)
Great idea for a video, will cover that soon!
Top-quality tutorial, calm, confident and very clear.
Immediate subscription!
Thanks man! Highly appreciated :)
Not only for S1 in particular - it's a tutorial for a modern parametric EQ in general - for everyone. Very good work Mike !! ✔
This is really excellent. The series as a whole is the best intro to a DAW, any DAW, I've seen. Very clear, just the right pace. Much appreciated.
Thank you Ted!
Very good job. Thank you.
Thank you so much for all these incredible tutorials!
Very helpful, thanks!
Great video Mike.
A Must See… Thank You
When I tried the free trial for Studio One I used this EQ and I was amazed at how crispy my mix's got. This is one of the main reasons I want Studio One. When my trial came to an end I was crushed that I could not use it anymore. They really hooked me like a fish. Along with this and the Mastering tools I am wanting this program.
Awesome video! Great info. Thanks for this.
I highly appreciate your support thanks Kieth :)
Brilliant
What a powerful tool that is. Love the sidechain feature and the shelf steepness settings.
Yeah, that sidechain is handy :)
I really like using Pro EQ for corrective EQ. Has all the features I need and works well. Good tutorial.
This is the fourth consecutive video on your channel I've watched. I needed a refresher on many things and your videos helped me a lot! You explain things clearly, get to the point quickly and you're easy to follow. Thanks.
I really like your video Mike. You explain this very well in a simple and understandable way. I thank you very much. 👍
That was a masterclass in how to do a tutorial. Relevant content, succinctly delivered in a logical order...thank you!
Excellent tutorial, Sir!! I didn't really know the ins and outs, I only used the dots, haha! I will play around with the filters, and I really like that "sidechain" too! Appreciate your time in making these videos!!
this is amazing
Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed!
Thanks..
Hope they make it Dynamic in the update to come .
Yes, I'm pretty excited to see which plugins they've updated!
Two weeks ago ProEq 2 did not have everything we need...😏
Now with ProEq 3 with dynamics we DO have everything we need ! 😁
So true!
FFT = fast Fourier transform
Cheers!
nice video.Do you have any video explaining vocal recordings, exactly those who explains how to send reveb or delay to the singer in his hpones, without recording the efx? This could be helpfull.Thank you.
amazing video as ever... but i didnt get the "level range". what does it do exactly?
Love this series! Very much a beginner so getting to know the stock plugins is super helpful 🙏 are you planning on going through them all? 🤞
Yes I am :) Thanks for watching!
Michael, day in day out I'm trying my best to record a classical guitar. While it's good on my speakers it's always horrible in my car (digital/analog). I'm using also the s1 limiter with true peak at -1, but still it's doing noises.. How can I test at home that problem?
nice video. I think 'stock' plugins often get a bad rap. I've been seeing that change a little, lately, or CZcams is just keeping me in a box lol. Studio One especially has really good EQs and compressors, imo. And definitely a bonus on DAW integration with stock plugins. Another example, I have a Livid DS1 and in Bitwig, I can add EQs to tracks and the 5 knobs map to 5 bands. I'd love to see PreSonus make a new Faderport with some more knobs. Do motorized pots exist? :D
FFT stands for Fast Fourier Transforms
Very nice! To the point and consice. Having used S1 for about 5 years, I find myself defaulting to most of their native plugins. I use this eq alot. Upon introduction of the eq2, I noticed they had separated the input meters from the output meters, in the gui. One far left, one far right. I like to adjust the input/output levels manually...having then so far away from each other makes it a bit more difficult, as I like to look at avg and peak levels at the same time. Seems illogical that they would do this, because the graphics are there to assist you visually, are they not? What are your thoughts on this?
I hadn't thought of this, but i think it's a very good point. Now that I think of it, iZotope do this on things like thier maximiser plugin, and it IS very useful to have them next to each other. Worth suggesting to Presonus!
@@studioonerevealed Thanks for validating me...I was wondering if anyone else noticed. Yes, Izotope Nectar is like that, too. I will suggest it to them, but you may have more sway than I. 😉
I just started learning the software and can not find pro eq, please teach me how to find it
FFT: Fast Furiror Transform type of wave form
yea, I spelled it wrong.
Hi Mike, being a Studio One user, I have been following all of your tutorials about vocal mixing. I am very keen to listen your suggestion on how to achieve this tonal effect from the reference video. I meant particularly the airiness and layering. If you listen to it you will understand what I mean. The vocal here is very crisp and airy. Do you have any suggestions on this?

That record made me buy a bass and ditch the drums!
