I lie here in so much pain I watch your vlogs and it’s so soothing I do like the music as well when your showing items around your home i do love the things you get you don’t half get some bargains for your home I love watching you thankyou again for what you do 😍🙏💗💕😊🌺
Julie, the shoe shine box would look great with brushes but also, advertising old tins of products. I know you probably won't find them at thrift stores, mostly antique shops, but that would look so good because a shoe polish tin that is round would fit alongside a brush. You could sit it up, so that you would see the advertising. Just an idea I have seen done before.
Julie, I love everything in this video. Saw the wire bath tub on the shelf next to the shoe shine box. .. Love it, and the dress form! What a Blessing to find such a great haul!!!
Loved the 'dress form'...and the little dress. My youngest grand daughter will be 16 in February. When she was born 14 weeks early, she weighed 1 lb 7 oz..her father's wedding band went up her arm to her shoulder with some extra room. Now she is a healthy young lady who is almost 6 feet tall...Amazing..God does miracles. Take care.
*@Margaret Rose - yes, God is so GOOD - ALL of the time❣☝🙏🕊 ✝️ What a blessing to have your Granddaughter‼️🥰 Similar story with my niece who just had her 11th birthday this past December. She was also born 14 weeks early and weighed only 1.4 pounds at birth. My Sister named her Grace, because - "by the Grace of God, she lived!" - since the doctors didn't expect her to survive...but we KNOW PRAYER CHANGES THINGS...and when ALL you have is prayer, it is more than enough, PRAISE GOD❣🙏 ✝️ ❤*
I LOVED the way you styled those platters. I wish my cabinets didn’t go all the way to the top! I have 7 steak platters as well! My grandma had 4 and my aunt had 3. And they called them steak platters! They are the same kind too!! My family loves to eat the steaks, potatoes off of them. I keep them tucked away in the cabinet! I would have grabbed that dress form too! I have decorated in Cottage Core! That would be perfect! In fact, I purchased a a full one from eBay! I’m going to paint it pink! And put a vintage lace apron on it and for the top, I’ve found some lace dresses. And to top it off, I have my grandmother’s pearls! The little crock is adorable in the bathroom!! I love the shoe shine box too. The brush looks adorable on it! That picture is beautiful! So Cottage Core! The Thanksgiving dress is adorable!
I love how relaxing this is to watch and listen too. You find such wonderful things. Those Homer Laughlin plates! And the woman shaped wire would be perfect as an earring tree. I can imagine her with a jeweled “dress”.
Everything you do really gives inspiration to someone, it takes a special person to relate to a diverse number of people, you and your family are a pleasure to watch and it's a privilege to watch such a beautiful family .....thank you for sharing your lives😀💕
I was lucky to find two shoe shine boxes at the local thrift store and was blessed years later to run across a big ziplock bag full of supplies enough to fill both of them
Yes, the shoeshine rack would look good with more brushes and also old shoe shine paste or wax in an old tin. I love the manakin, it would be a great piece to hang jewelry on. If I found one like that I would put it in my sewing room and hang my scissors and rotary cutters on. It's always fun to see what everyone finds and how they use it.
Thifting is one of my most favorite things to do since I have started watching your videos,And I just love how you style things.Your home is absolutely beautiful.Have a blessed day ❤
That's interesting about the employees having to wait a certain amount of time. My local Goodwill worker told me that they can't shop at the store where they work. They have to go to other stores (or I imagine they could get someone to buy it for them if they really wanted). But I also thought they would get first dibs on stuff.
*Julie, I was fortunate enough to find 4 of those plates thrifting about 8 years ago...they were ONLY 25 CENTS each at Goodwill. To this day, it's the BEST $1.00 I HAVE EVER SPENT❣‼️🥰 But let me tell you what I have discovered over the years since I bought them. Those Homer Laughlin plates aren't just great for holiday meals, oh no, ma'am. They are also wonderful when you make yourself a huge salad for a meal; plenty of room for a huge variety of greens, and other veggies like: 3 colors of peppers, some onion, avocado, tomato, carrot; then add some cheese and top with grilled steak, chicken or shrimp and the salad dressing of your choice.😋 This is what I typically have for lunch, (my biggest meal of the day) and my co-workers always commented about how great my lunches always looked. I would just chop everything up ahead of time and assemble the salad at lunch time at work.❤ I also love using my plates for pasta night (lasagna, fettuccine alfredo with carrot, broccoli and shrimp or chicken, or chicken parmesan with ziti or spaghetti) - plenty of room for lots of sauce and garlic bread on the side❣😋 One of my other favorite ways to use these plates is for BBQ's: throw on your slab of ribs, corn on the cob, grilled zucchini, carrots and portobello mushrooms and there's room for EVERYTHING on one plate for your backyard barbecue meal...YUM‼️‼️🥰😋 Now, to go back to the video and watch the rest of it❣ LOL ❣🤣*
Love your new channel. That form would be cute with a child size apron on it. I collect those white platters too. We use to use them every day. I live in the north central part of the state and I see them still. Have a Blessed Day.💖🙏✨
I have that wire dress form on my walk in closet wall. I use it to hold my wire earrings across the horizontal wires. I forgot what it looked like “empty” 😉.
You have the coziest kitchen and home! I just love the tiered basket with fresh produce in the background! You just inspired me with the shelf behind the stove too. I can't wait to find one at the thrift store and copy you! Hope you don't mind. Love the shoeshine brushes on the shoeshine shelf...so cute! The little candle lamp is such a good idea...I bet it looks amazing from the outside too! Oh Julie, I just love you and your family...you are so blessed girl!
I have the same platters. We used to have an outlet store in a neighboring town and I picked up six of those platters about 10 years ago for $1 each. They are heavy, but wear like crazy. They will last forever.
Great finds Julie. Your thrift videos are so good. Love seeing what you find and how you style it. That little dress is adorable. Have a blessed weekend. Marion
Just discovered your channel. Love your personality and sweet disposition 😊 Can't wait for future videos. In the meantime, I'll go back and watch your other videos. Blessings!
You could remove the two platters from above your oven and corner cabinet to fill the empty wall and replace with smaller plates as “accents “. Like maybe the blue and white Blue Willow or two really interesting pieces of copper? Just a thought.
Love how you styled the platters!! Also, really liked the shoe shine box, greenery would look great there!!! My girls used to wear turkey dresses like the one you found, all you need is ruffled pants!🥰😊
Hi Julie what a haul you got today I absolutely adore the little dress you found for Addielooking forward to seeing her in it love what you done with the plates regards to all from the South East Coast of Ireland 🇮🇪 😀
My husband and I purchased different Homor Laughlin platters at yard sales. I use for every family get together ❤. My boys love eating out of them . Big breakfast and dinners. Great video
The soldier prints are awesome! And that little lamp is great, I would have grabbed that too. It would looks really cute with a tiny lamp shade. It looks great painted black. The dress is precious. Great haul, Julie. :)
Oh my when I saw that dress form I said to myself that would look good on in sewing room for for decorative and I would make a nice dress for it love it good find 😊
I am a reseller and when I saw the Pyrex bowls, my heart jumped! I don’t search for Pyrex and I don’t even like the pattern! The profit made on those bowls would be amazing! I was sure about the lamp, but I really like it !
I love the large platter/plates. I was thinking you could get a large platter with a blue or green pattern and put it in the space above your oven, then you could put that platter on the empty wall area.
I love the plates you found and put on your walls. They are beautiful hung their. I also love the dress you picked out for your granddaughter. I myself can't resist buying clothes for my granddaughter when I find something that I think would look cute on her.
I was thinking of a shoe shine tin also. It would be cute with the box and brush. Also the wire dress form would look so great in my sewing room! Lol 😂
Hey, great find. Those would be so handy at big meals. Cause I have 2 boys and grandsons with hugh appetites. Besides that they are beautiful on the walls, and gives that country atmosphere. Very cozy.
Julia, first of all I am 81. I go every other week for blood work and a shot for anemia. There is a Good Will near there and my daughter took me there yesterday. I got the cutest little basket, a ceramic duck with a bonnet for Easter decor and an asian throw for a future diy. All of this was under $10. You are so inspiring and I watch all your videos and love ❤ your family. Get that little boy a train, he wants one. Ha...blessings!!
I had a vision of tucking a pretty scarf into the bosom of that wire dress form.---I had a cheese crock like yours, in a smaller size, when we went camping in our pop-up tent camper. I kept fuses in the crock so they'd stay dry!
I love all the finds..I really like the shoe shine brush on the wood box...the candle stick lamp was beautiful...the little dress form was darling too...love how you have used them in your home...tfs..love the family channel as well..
That’s what seconds and thirds are for!😂 I have the independence ironstone with the brown caning on the plate edge. The extra pieces are dark brown, but the same shape. They are pretty.
Hi Julie. Another great video! I am referring to your being unsure about buying the dress form. When I’m thrifting, if something “speaks to me”, I listen. I can’t tell you how many times I have bought items that I have NO idea what I will do with them but buy them anyway. It may take me a while, but inspiration eventually comes to me and I make something beautiful with them. Absolutely love the multifaceted ironstone creamer! It is very pretty especially with the ear shaped handle. You were lucky to find the prints for your friend still in the store too. Great job!
Marlene peters loved the light you put on your desk. It doesn't need a shade. I'm with you when you said it looked like a candle. Loved your ironstone pitcher. I also loved the adorable dress you bought. She will look so cute in it. Your house 🏠 looks so immaculate. Do take you take one room a day and clean? It amazing how wonderful everything and your decor looks. Iam jealous.
Hi Julie, I might be repeating what others posted if so sorry. The shoe shine “shelf” would look cute with round shaving brushes. There are small handled round shoe polish brushes also. I am not into rustic/primitive decor myself but watch all your videos and amazing finds. You make it look so easy. I am a hodge lodge of styles because I can’t make up my mind on what I like . 😂🇨🇦
I had a dress form similar to yours that I kept in my craft room. I ended up giving it to a friend who makes and sells jewelry. She hung pieces, especially earrings, on it for display at craft shows.
I’m sure the former Goodwill employee who was re-pricing items was a big hit among her coworkers. Even with the best intentions, that would have to cause animosity among the staff after awhile. I loved the finds, thanks for sharing.
Our goodwill employees are not even allowed to Shop at the stores they work at. I think that is so wrong. I think whole heartedly that they should be allowed to shop the store where they work on their days off. Love from North Carolina Miss Julie 🤗🙏 I love the tall skinny lamp. I actually have one and had purchased a piece of pvc pipe to go over the long piece and I painted it after I dripped glue with my glue gun . I then painted it and purchased a flicker bulb for it and it's just adorable 🕯️
Hey Julie, you found some wonderful items. I really like the dress form and the steak platters. I was shopping right along with you. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
1st time viewer here and I just want to say that I love LOVE love that you show us how you style your Goodwill finds. So many other videos don't do that and my style is very similar to yours. So thank you! You have a new subscriber :)
Hi Julie. What a great trip! I liked the little dish that was at 5:51, the poinsettia glasses, the little jars, the dish immediately after the goblet you looked at at the 18:35 and the crackle glass candle holders. I love seeing how and where you use your finds. Have a good week and pet Piper for me.

Add some old tins of shoe polish with your shoe shine brush! 💚
Thank you! I love this!

The Thanksgiving dress is adorable!

I use to work at Salvation Army thrift store & we had to wait to buy stuff too. That was very hard at times🙁
I loved your family channel!! Those plates are so nice on your wall.🥰. I’ve never looked for ironstone but I’m really liking it!!
Thank you so much Cindy!
Love the plates on the wall they looked stunning! You always find such neat stuff and have such great ideas!

The dress form would be cute in your laundry room, on a shelf or hanging on a wall.
Thank you Betty! That’s a great idea.
Hi Julie, I might be repeating what others posted if so sorry. The shoe shine “shelf” would look cute with round shaving brushes. There are small handled round shoe polish brushes also. Thank you Lisa! I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled for those items.
When I wrote my original comment couldn’t remember what to call your style …Cottage Core…Yes? 😂😬☺️
I agree! And thank you!
Our goodwill employees are not even allowed to Shop at the stores they work at. I think that is so wrong. Oh how neat. I bet it’s beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
The Goodwills in my area don't allow employees to purchase from the store they work. I believe maybe twice a year they can but no other time.
Love how you styled those big plates!!!
Thank you!

Hi Julie. What a great trip! I liked the little dish that was at 5:51, the poinsettia glasses, the little jars, the dish immediately after the goblet you looked at at the 18:35 and the crackle glass candle holders. I love seeing how and where you use your finds. Have a good week and pet Piper for me.
Thank you Kit! I sure will!
