    • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream, chilled
    • 2 tablespoons (15 g) powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
    • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
    Instructions:
    1. Place the mixing bowl and whisk or beaters in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes to chill. This helps the cream whip more efficiently.
    2. Pour the chilled heavy whipping cream into the chilled mixing bowl.
    3. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream.
    4. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, beat the cream on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. This usually takes about 3-4 minutes. For stiffer peaks, continue beating until the cream holds its shape better, but be careful not to overwhip, as it can turn into butter.
    5. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to a day. Give it a quick whisk before serving if it starts to deflate.
