How can you make a child comfortable in a new setting?

How can you make a child comfortable in a new setting?
Let the child stay with the parent the child is most comfortable with
Hello the child and if you notice resistance, don't further intrude
Don't make the child the center of attention
Please do not comment and start questioning and labelling the child's behaviour
Give the child time to warm up and observe everything from a distance
Adults carry on talking to each other and let the child be
When the child is given space and time they find it easier to adapt
Remember that children might take time to warm up and as adults we have to resect that.....
