Before screwing the metal plates into the wall you should measure in 1/2”, make a mark and draw a plumb line the entire height of the door. The metal clips have lines on them, and you should line the same line on each clip to the drawn plumb line. Do one side then the next enduring the top is level
I'm looking for a similar setup to this, where the french doors can be left open to maintain open floor plan when wanted but also be closed to be used as a bedroom. Do you know if these were right active, left active or double active/universal? Trying to understand how they close and stay closed if double active.
They both open independently. So I guess that’s considered double active. There is a bullet latch mortised into the top of each door. That’s how they stay closed. Non locking.
Its so nice! MaY I know the measurements please. We are in the process of renovating and have a 5 feet opening, would it be enough? I want it 7feet but it might be to wide. Thank you

The door knobs are dummies; they do nothing. The doors have bullet latches recessed on top that keep them closed. They don’t lock.
The latches came with the door; the knobs were bought on Amazon.
