The Joker rarely, if ever used semi-automatic pistols. He usually preferred revolvers, mock guns (tweaked to also work as real guns), party bangers (tweaked also to be lethal) and otherwise mostly preferred melee weapons and larger, two-handed rifles. So, actually, he might *not* have known that.

Deadshot is one of the few members of the Suicide Squad who actually manages to quietly retire, at least in the Arkham timeline (which is where this takes place). Apparently Amanda Waller let him go after Knightfall.
Won't lie this is what made me take a bit of interest in the Deadshot character, I am not sure if this movie is supposed to have its own movie/universe or if it is part of the comics, cannon story of Deadshot. Though just look at his behavior, demeanor, the wits, all against the literal Joker. Usually, we see Batman doing this with the prince of crime, but it is nice to see how other characters can handle the danger of the joker himself besides being fear of him. When I saw this, the first thing I thought to myself was "Damn the fuck happen to Deadshot to be like this face to face with Joker" and "What kind of people you had to deal with for the Joker not to be any different." Above all it does show why he was picked as the leader to lead the suicide squad in the first place, I don't know about everyone, but if I was in the Deadshot squad, and saw him handle this with the Joker, I got no problem having him say the word and I follow it, and being led by him.

Depends on the gun. Some you can see the hammer or chamber in certain positions as a tell it's out. Other guns... Deadshot took a 50/50 gamble. My guess? Deadshot knew there was one in the chamber and tried to bluff the Joker to lower his guard, and it worked.

Won't lie this is what made me take a bit of interest in the Deadshot character, I am not sure if this movie is supposed to have its own movie/universe or if it is part of the comics, cannon story of Deadshot. Though just look at his behavior, demeanor, the wits, all against the literal Joker. Usually, we see Batman doing this with the prince of crime, but it is nice to see how other characters can handle the danger of the joker himself besides being fear of him. When I saw this, the first thing I thought to myself was "Damn the fuck happen to Deadshot to be like this face to face with Joker" and "What kind of people you had to deal with for the Joker not to be any different." Above all it does show why he was picked as the leader to lead the suicide squad in the first place, I don't know about everyone, but if I was in the Deadshot squad, and saw him handle this with the Joker, I got no problem having him say the word and I follow it, and being led by him.

Depends on the gun. Some you can see the hammer or chamber in certain positions as a tell it's out. Other guns... Deadshot took a 50/50 gamble. My guess? Deadshot knew there was one in the chamber and tried to bluff the Joker to lower his guard, and it worked.
@@ZoraPMC deadshot 100 percent knew the gun was still loaded or at least one in the chamber, joker was using a pistol and all pistols when empty the slide goes all the way back to take in a new bullet from a fresh magazine but he banked on him confronting him and the joker isn't used to people standing up to him unless its batman so he second guessed himself.
