Maybe Lou is planning to step down at some point and hand the GM reigns over to Roy? Lou is 81 years old after all.

At least at the moment Roy has made it clear that he has no wish to split duties. I am still a bit shocked Lou actually pulled the trigger though.

I love/hate him. Ottawa messed up. Montreal rightfully declined, but may get him now that he's almost 60yrs old, & recyclable. So, are a few other bilinguals, if MSL goes back home. Or, isn't mean enough for future steps.
