Not only do I have stacks of notebooks, I keep buying more! So I’m using what I have and NOT buying more. One thing I do is jump around sizes to try then I buy notebooks in the new size and end up with more than I can use for years! I’m in!
I have realized that I don’t like most of the planners! And there is no almost perfect planner for me! I will be creating my own so I can do everything I need.
I've considered doing that. But I think that I'll be able to use up most of them by the end of this challenge. If I had 20 or more notebooks, then I would sell some of them.
OMG, So many of them still are in the original wrapping paper!! My problem is as soon as I get it I'm so excited I tear it open and start writing in it; so I have a whole bunch of books with one or two pages written on it LOL
Heart Breathings has a monthly notebook challenge she started for the same reason. There are a lot of great ideas for using up notebooks. I’m excited to see someone else doing this. It’s great to get ideas. Thank you!
For me it’s not about trying to use up what I have as much as it’s about trying to shop my stash when I find that I do have a need. I like the idea of a notebook no buy though!
I have a TON of notebooks and I need a therapist to help me figure out what my problem is....because I just ordered two more today. LOL! As I come across different styles I am curious about them, so I buy buy buy. And now I have more than I can probably use in a lifetime. LOL. I'm destashing now but I definitely I'm looking for more ways to use them.
LOL. this doesn't even touch what my collection looks like. And I got rid of some earlier in the year. I realized I just don't work fast enough for my eyes. Good luck on your challenege!

I will partake in this challenge because November means black Friday which means stationery deals lol

OMG. I feel seen. 👀 I’ve been trying to talk myself out of getting a new notebook for my goals in 2024. When my desk has a lot of half-used notebooks already. I use small notepads (a6 size or so) for my to-go mess of notes that would otherwise get lost on my phone. Books to look up, appts to transfer to my calendar, shopping lists, gift ideas. Anything that I want to write while I’m not at home. Then I’ll either transfer the info later when I can or just wonder why I wrote it in the first place - and move on. I plan on using an a5 for goals - monthly goals, broken down to weekly to dos to accomplish it. Weekly and/or monthly reflections. What worked - what didn’t. Why didn’t it? Why did I procrastinate and how can I improve? I also do a common place. If it’s a major topic for me then it may have its own notebook that I’ll put my notes and thoughts on it. Self-study to help broaden my mind.
At the end of 2022, I was so embarrassed to discover that I'd somehow built up a stash of 70 (!!!!) unused notebooks, so I've been trying to use a bunch of them up over the year. I do journal a LOT, and sometimes go through multiple notebooks in a month. So even though I've had a couple of moments of weakness over the year where I've tripped, fallen and bought a couple more, I've used up far more than I've acquired, which means the overall number is less than it was this time last year. But my plan is to keep doing the same thing this year (and maybe look at gifting a few of them on as well)
Girl friend yes it’s definitely a problem! I have so many it would be embarrassing to tell you but between planner and notebooks more then 25 it’s bad… but moving forward I already plan to use my stash, destash and giveaway!!! 3years of cloth and paper subscription, did 2-3 getting simply gilded, I have 6 sterling inks for 2024 only and take a note plus other undated… so every couple of years I will go on a no buy unless necessary to save it has helped me save but not using the notebooks!!! It’s crazy but using my notebooks and stationary is my challenge for the next / year or few depending on how it goes!!! I will only get dated for journal, homeschool, home management and faith monthly only… I will be using and seeing what I like and don’t. Plus I can start using them
I love this. This year is the first time I'm about to finish a notebook/journal since I used to bullet journal. I prefer to buy my planners now, but I definitely have a good dozen notebooks I want to find a use for. I look forward to seeing your ideas on how to do that! 💜

That's not a notebook hoard... (uncovers vast collection) THIS is a notebook hoard! 😂 (With apologies to Crocodile Dundee). I am trying to use up some of my notebooks, but then my artistic brain just wants the perfect notebook for a new project and I fall down the rabbit hole again...
I buy beautiful notebooks to do all the things I want to get done, but i dont want to mess them up and make them ugly, so i buy more. Its a vicious cycle 😅

Another idea is to resell any unused notebooks. I love this challenge, such great motivation to make use of what we have 😄
