Hard to believe but Toys Era did a better job. Even the headsculpt is way better in likeness.

Call me crazy.. but this figure hits on all cylinders for me. I love the light up eye. Even in the movies it was very faint, but looked super cool with his shield. And this video sealed the deal. Just pre-ordered this today. Thanks Justin. Great review as always!

Had mine prepaid for ages & because of your review I'm going to go ahead and keep that preorder. One thing I wish they would have included was the shemagh neck scarf he wore at the end of the film though. I'll have to source a decent 1/6 version from somewhere (hopefully in the same color.)

The poncho makes the proportions look better. Covers the shoulders and neck. Josh Brolin is just a short dude with a big head🤣 I think this figure is fantastic. Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Another awesome review, thanks Justin 🔥👌🏾

The pistol is a Walther Q5 Match. I work at a gun store and sell those quite a bit. The hot toys version is pretty good but the trigger should be blue, but in all it’s a good representation in sixth scale. Love watching the videos!

Anyone still claiming your reviews are always uniformly positive really aren't listening. I counted at least 5 cons you mentioned. Balanced out with the pros but still, this is a fair review. Not sure what more they want.

3:14 Cables pistol he uses in the movie is a Walther PPQ Match Grade, which comes from the factory with the slightly extended barrel and slide for better accuracy. (Fun fact the trigger should be blue, the match grade guns walther makes all come with a blue trigger as blue is their company color)
while this one that comes with the figure is not branded you can still see the outline of the where the Walther logo would be on slide of the gun.

Thank you for the in hand review ... and that's why I think it's a problem to review strictly off of pictures. You can't get a true feel of the actual figure when it's not in hand. The figure is much better than what I've been hearing. Thank you

Cable's sidearm is a Walther PPQ Q5 Match pistol. Yes, that disc is not a mine. It is a grenade. Despite all of the flaws and negative criticism that this figure has received, it still looks like a great piece and I can't wait to get my copy in hand.

The proportions are just a big no, like complete deal breaker levels of no and the elbow joint is hideous at best, other than that, the accessories are good, the likeness is good and the outfit is good too

Justin, I'm not a biggest Cable fan. I think the likeness to the actor is pretty bang on, 9/10. I understand people are frustrated with the shirtless body, but when he is fully clothed and kitted out, he looks pretty darn good. Your pose with him pulling his sidearm from the holster looked outstanding. I think he is a 7.5/10 overall, the one arm with obvious joint is very distracting. He shined the most when paired with Deadpool, which is what everyone really wants, two figures that complement each other. Thanks for the review!

I should have picked up the Toys Era when I had the chance. Much prefer that body and sculpt over this. I would say that the only thing that looks better on the Hot Toys are the paint apps. Disappointing release, especially for the price

Thank you for the well balanced review of this figure. Other "content creators" gave this version of Cable a lot of hate. However, I love this version of Cable and it will go perfectly with my Deadpool 2 figure.

Rewatching the scene were he's shirtless as he's assembling his gun, he really wasn't as beefy as I remember, this figure isn't too far off from Josh Brolin's body.

5:36 if you pause it, and comparing the guns the toys era BFG is more accurate as it has all the proper brand markings on the gun, the Big “V” is an actual logo used on real Kriss Vectors.

Handgun is a German Walther Q5 Match. there is 4 versions of it, cant tell you exactly wich one its is. Its a great gun IRL nothing beats it in that price range.

Someone can be a beast, but still be skinny, in fact watching the movie again then this, it pretty spot on, and as far as his neck goes, that’s pretty spot on as well, so I see no issues

Yes this was 💯 # meant to be displayed with all the gear on. Imagine if they made the figure more bulky like Josh was in the movie. Then imagine how he’d look with all the gear and poncho on. This figure would look fat. There’s no two ways about it, the body needs to be thinner to pull off the fully geared look.

Totally agree. That's what I've been thinking. 2 years ago when I decided to pre-order this figure I knew the body is thin. And I'm happy about it cos I don't want it too bulky with clothes on.

I would have to disagree on this one. I still think the one from Toys Era is better. The only thing that I would keep from the hot toys is the actual Poncho but that's about it.

Also question can you put that time travel device on Deadpool to recreate the the post-credits scene when he uses it to fix up the timelines like killing the Russian who killed his fiancee prevent Peter's death killing a crappy version of Deadpool from Origins Wolverine where in the Extended Cut he tells Logan about one day he's going to hang up the claws and make everybody sad tell him that one day we will ask him to get back in the saddle and when he does say yes kills Ryan Reynolds because he was looking at the script of the Green Lantern movie and also going through either kill Hitler when he was a baby or not.

I know you said charred teddy bear, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe in the movie, cable says that’s the dried blood of his daughter and wife. But it’s probably a mix of blood and ashes. Don’t mean to call you out cause you know a lot more about these than I do, it’s just that i rewatched the movie a little bit ago and remember that part.

Justin, I don't think Brolin was an absolute Beast in Deadpool 2. He wasn't blue(or purple) and the actor playing Beast had that small cameo.

The proportions don't really bother me because if we're being honest, Josh Brolin's kinda got a big head in relation to his height and shoulder width. The body is a bit too slim though. I think Hot Toys should've filled out his chest a bit more, given him more pronounced lats, and a slightly thicker neck. And the worst part is using the generic arm on him, he definitely needed something more muscular.
The techno-organic side looks about right in terms of the size.
