    Absolute beauties, I love that Black Vine finish! I have a pair of Contour S3.4 LE in Bubinga High Gloss wood and the finish is just incredible. They are very few speaker companies that can compare to Dynaudio when it comes to speaker finishing.

    Thanks so much for your wonderful videos! I listened to these today at a hifi shop near me in the midlands along with a naim supernait 3 and an auralic g2.1 streamer and it sounded great. Would love to hear Hegel with these

    Waiting for your overall opinion of the Amphion Argon S3 and how to compares to the Dynaudios and similar bookshelf speakers.

    Look amazing I'd go for these printed birch. Probably the red, as you say, just art. Trouble is I want the evoke 50's which unfortunately do not come in the gangster finishes the fortys do

    You probably shouldn't touch these speakers with bare hands :). I have had the same set, the same finish, for two months and haven't touched them yet without gloves on.

    Thanks for your comment, always excellent! I have 25 years old Dynaudio and I really like the sound. But I plan to upgrade and buy the S40. I have a Matantz Reference PM-11S2 amplifier (2x200W at 4 ohms) powerful but never squeaky at high frequencies. Will it be a good pair? (Marantz and S40)

      I have the Marantz Reference PM-11S2 amplifier too and it pairs very well with my Dynaudio Excite X12s. I am sure it will pair well with the S40. For my small study I plan to replace these with Evoke 10s. If I had a larger room free, I would go for Confidence 20is ahead of S40s.

    Hey mate. The shops in Australia have the 2 listings for these speakers now. The new and the old. Apart from the colours, I assume the hardware doesn’t change? Do you know anything on your end?

    Gorgeous. I Had the Evoke 20's and sold them so I can get this pare. 3500 in the US. I do not have them yet. But I will.
    Very nice

      @Car Guy daddyo I have the Arcam SA20 also looking into a hegel 190. Not sure if its enough of an upgrade to justify

      Jason ME Make sure the amp your looking into has a very good power supply, these dynaudio speakers demand it to be driven with conviction.

      @Car Guy daddyo The SA20 is very musical and warm in the bass. I am currently using the KEF's R3 and it sounds great. Not too bright not neutral. Sound stage is open and reviling. I have no need for the Dynaudios, I just want them.

      Thanks for the reply,the only reservation I have in getting these will be the fact that I need to place them 10cm from rear wall thanks

    Thank you for this review! To pairing with these Special Forty, wich integrated amplifier do you think will be work better, the Musical Fidelity M6si or the Atoll IN300? Regards!

    • @Studioincar
      @Studioincar  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I can only comment on the M6si, it has more than enough grunt to get the Special 40 moving!

    • @Infynyte
      @Infynyte Před 7 měsíci

      @@Studioincar Thank you for your answer :)
      My question was more about matching in terms of sound. Both the M6si and the IN300 have more than enough power delivery I guess :). Regards!
