I went through a big episode of derealization after I broke up with my ex about a year ago. I could barely eat, i had to force myself to drink, and I slept most of the day. The rare times when I wasn't sleeping, though, I was laying in my bed motionless listening to this video on loop. It was the only thing at the time that could hold me together. I want to thank you for making this, even if you didn't think it would help anyone as much as it helped me. I'm growing so much as a person and getting better every day, because I held it together long enough to change. Thanks to you.

You walk into your café to see a beautifully decorated Christmas tree filled with ornaments of all different colors shapes and sizes. You see fairy lights decorated along the rim of the ceiling that change into different colors. I should close the door behind you you walk into the café. First to grab the box of matches so you can light up the fire. As you light the fire you realize what time it is, and you realize that it’s time to open your café. i work at a starbucks in texas and it was about 9pm on a rainy night and we were closing, i was sweeping the floors with this playing in my ears and it wasn’t even winter nor was it cold outside, but when i’d look outside at the heavy rain hitting the pavement, rippling the reflection of the edison bulbs we keep right by the window, it made me feel so cozy and at peace .

I really love winter and don't mind the cold. I like taking walks nowadays at night after having a peculiar experience. I had a night out with a couple friends and the phone turned itself off because of the cold(?). I didn't where I was supposed to go because I was taking the night bus and was following a GPS on my phone over a bridge of a highway. I literally had to guess where the bus would arrive and was a little stressed because the place was literally empty, but when I noticed how the snow was visibly falling aesthetically under the streetlights really calmed me down. I somehow got home hours later but that experience really mesmerized within me, and I doubt I will never forget it.
Imagine a landscape full of snow. So calming lol
espeically since snow acts as sound absorbtion material and makes everything so peacefully quiet.

Hey so I just got heart broken by a girl I wasn't even with. It's November, 14, 2020 and I'm glad to say I'm recovering. The holidays are about to come and I can't wait to experience it. One thing I learned that maybe a lot of you could too is to love yourself the way you love other people. It's so easy to love someone else and give them your all but if you'd just take your time and treat yourself that way then you're all set. Happy Holiday Everyone!
