Also pro tip for re-heating old rice: SPRINKLE SOME WATER OVER IT BEFORE MICROWAVING makes sure you dont get that crappy dehydrated rice
Adam Stojkov same with pasta boii
I like to put the chicken/pulled pork/or whatever over the rice with some water in the bottom with a plate as a lid.
reheats the rice perfectly as well as the chicken.
or put a damp paper towel over it, works for dressing and other dry carb related mixes
my mom taught me to moisten a paper towel, then place it over all the rice!! even softening and steaming guaranteed!!
This is also a great tip for pizza crust. If you get a good thin coating then you’ll have nice and fluffy crust instead of a brick wall perimeter.
Love how he put it back in the middle 😂😂😂
With the lid underneath
With no center ring!

There are many cooking tip videos out here on CZcams, but I can confidently say that this is by far the most applicable one and probably be the one that almost 90% of those who view it, will use.
Yep!
Fun fact: microwave ovens and wireless routers both operate on the same frequency, 2.4 GHz. So, if you didn't have a microwave, but for some reason DID have ~1,000 home internet routers lying around, you could still reheat that leftover takeout by burying that takeout box in what would essentially be a WiFi bonfire.
This is also why if you're out of mobile data, you can type a URL into your phone browser, then place the phone in the microwave on low after hitting enter and the page will load after 30-40 seconds.
@@EDoyl will try
@@fabionecas make sure to place your phone on the rim of the microwave spinner. will load faster.
Eoin Doyle thanks my microwave exploded
WiFi bonfire hm? What's next, refill your Asus Flasks and Linksys the firewire? Equip giant dad subnetmasks and do some UPnP?
I genuinely find this so useful I grew up without a microwave and now my flatmates laugh at me for not knowing how to use the spinny radiation box
I'm with 99 other people in the room. But it felt like it he was shouting directly at me. I'm sorry for putting my bowl directly in center at potato settings.
I had an internal dialogue that went like "I bet he meant to say World war 2 battlefield and then accidentally said Battlefield 2" right before he came clean and in that moment I felt *connected*
The “potato” setting is for creating coal out of potatoes. Hope this helps!
0:45 love that advice. I'm gonna do it today. I think Jane in accounting is pregnant with the janitors baby.
😂😂
Yeah, but I heard her husband still thinks it's his!

@@jm1178 that's key in this whole process.
I heard she learned how to smoke weed over the summer from a black guy
I’m astounded you didn’t mention adjusting the power percentage! Microwaves vary by wattage too. I always take a look at the total wattage and then rock around 40-60% power on a longer time. Heats the food without re-cooking or burning. No popping sounds.
His GF at the end 😂 "Babe, babe, calm down babe"
She’s with me now

@@internetshaquille Dude, love your channel but you're still playing in the dumb-dumbs league for one single reason. Not putting a glass of water in the microwave. A guy at work gave me the tip, and honestly it's a God level tip. Like, God level as in I feel like God personally comes down to earth to bless my microwave meal every single I use the glass of water trick. Please try it.
@@Sam-gn5mq won't that just like... absorb all the energy and make everything else take twice as long to heat

When I microwave rice dishes, I take a piece of paper towel, wet it down, ring it out, then drape it over the dish and microwave. What comes out is just as moist and tasty as the rice per-refrigeration. The tips in this video are also fantastic, thank you!
I stir a splash of water in and do the same thing.
This is one of the outrageously funniest, most adorable and wonderfully teaching videos I have ever seen.
a lot of people seem to see letting food stand as an unnecessary stage, when the reasoning behind it is pretty cool - ice doesn't heat very well via microwaves, whereas water heats almost TOO well, so if you don't leave it to stand and equalise the temperature, that's why you end up with some spots almost flash fried and burnt due to water, while a good portion of your food is still frozen
"Dont put it in the center" - Proceeds to place it in the center after stirring.
And forgot to dig the hole! It was good advice though;
And never, NEVER, NevEr, NeeEEeVvvvEEeeERRRR MICROWAVE YOUR DAMN FISH IN THE OFICE MICROWAVE!!!!!11@!!AASDF!!!!
For those wanting to reheat fried foods or pizza, might I suggest an air fryer. It's quick, simple, and even the cheap ones do the job. Mine was 20 bucks and I've had it for a year without problems (Though I'm on a budget. I suggest actually investing in a good air fryer. They're pretty awesome and can help you eat healthier).
I love mine!

"Go to the water-cooler, dispense yourself a beverage, and start some office drama based on fake gossip that you made up." This is too real omg
Also a damp paper towel covering your food really works wonders It protects your food from splattering and gives it some moisture so the microwave doesn’t dry your food out
I think you should have included a list of things that are hazardous to microwave - like aluminum and styrofoam etc. - never underestimate people's creativity when it comes to bad decision- making
This is why I can’t live without a toaster oven- for fried food or pizza or pretty much anything it is the best. Also ya gotta invest in some glass containers- they’re eco friendly and don’t release chemicals in the microwave.
Air fryers are where it’s at.
Glass containers are so heavy though
pro-tip on the glass containers: if you already know you’re gonna be too lazy to clean the tight away, just plan on putting them back in the fridge empty. That way at least they won’t be disgusting when you do get around to cleaning them.
That’s the #1 draw for cheap plastic containers, is that if you’re ever too lazy and it gets gross, you can just throw it out no muss no fuss. So nip that in the bud by not letting your containers get too nasty.
@J P
I don’t think you’ve ever learned how to properly do dishes if you favor plastic for the reason you gave. I’ve never had an issue with getting glass containers clean, and I’ve never felt the need to keep it in the fridge empty until I do dishes. All you need to do is put your hot tap water on the hottest setting and fill up the container to let it soak for awhile. Maybe even add some soap to it while it’s soaking. That will take care of _ANYTHING_ that is hardened or gross on a glass container.

Still loving the "Sweet doodoo heads" line in 2020
Me when I just find out my microwave that I owned for years has a kitchen timer: *oh yeah it's big brain time*
@CheesyQuokka
That took me awhile to figure out too lol. I only found out when the electricity went out one time, and while I was resetting the clock on the microwave, I messed up and made the timer begin instead. Happy accident lol.
Aw, he called us sweet doo doo heads 🥰
microwave pro tips: use a lower power setting for a longer amount of time, add some water, cover but not completely. works for literally anything
Not ice cream
@@dxcSOUL Why would anyone microwave ice cream?
So that it's easier to scoop
I starting this thinking I wasn't going to learn anything, and now I have learned everything.
This video legitimately changed how I use the microwave. Now all my mugs go handle on the middle and sit near the edge. Thanks.
For fried food, use the microwave to get it close to room temp (even if there are cold spots), then oven or toaster oven.
Shine sound used to censor is a lovely touch
The algorithm led me here to get get dunked on by Shaquille and tbh, bless the numbers. I went in a micro dummy and came out Confucius riding well distributed re-heat waves. Wow.
Never thought about using the rim of the microwave at all, good tip!
Wow this is seriously an underrated channel
0:30 "So scoop everything up on a plate..." 《throws bowl of soup onto plate》
wouldn't using the rim as opposed to center heat it up unevenly? (meaning whatever parts of the plate are closer to the center of the microwave will rotate within the inner radius and never warm up like the part that's closer to the outside)
I genuinely had no clue whether I should place a dish in the center or the edge of the spinning plate so thank you I finally know now lol
That ending is art!
If you want to make a food crispy and you don't have or want to use a oven/toaster oven, you can do the following:
1. Use the microwave to heat up the food until it's warm. Usually this takes less than a minute, depending on what you're heating and how much.
2. Put the warmed food onto a frying pan that's been heating up on your stove for a few minutes.
3. Flip the food every now and then to crisp all sides.
This is a great method to reheat pizza slices from the fridge, and to also crisp frozen chicken nuggets.
The power level button is also good if you have a particularly strong microwave that tends to dry out food.
That Shine Sound makes me very happy
Your passion for microwaves is inspiring ^^
You can also get ahead of cold spots and always pause halfway through the time, stir, and let it finish instead of doing two complete reheat cycles
for microwaves with just wattage + time settings (aka most European microwaves), go for a lower wattage and more time, it heats far more evenly
“And that my sweet doodoo heads” lol went to subscribe and I already was.
Knock this out as quick as I can is my motto when I’m late for work

Shit, that ending... I feel that everytime my girl reheats pizza XD
I’m not sure that putting your food on the outside of the tray is the most efficient. That causes the same area of the food to always face the center of the microwave and the opposite side of the food to always point to the outsides. I’m not sure that would cause uneven heat distribution but it makes sense that it would.
Your sensor sound is a shine... Nice 👍
I actually needed this video
why did I love being called a sweet doo-doo head? also, I got my magnet! love it, thank u :)
edit: and goddamn, i learned me real good stuff from this
dude i been making a hole in the middle and putting the plate on the edge since i was a little kid. should be common sense. the middle is always cold, so you get rid of the middle!
Why is that? Is it because of the size of the wavelengts creating a gap in the middle?
@@CrapsGoodxD i dont know why. another way to fix it is if its a small plate or bowl you can put it on the edge of the rotating plate in the microwave. or put the food at the edge of the plate so it spins around the outside.
Another hack for rice and other steamed items that would dry out in the microwave.
just sprinkle some water into the rice and once warmed up it should be almost as fluffy and soft as it was when it was fresh!

You made my day! Stand up comedian are you! 😂
Best CZcamsr all time for this one
Use these tips every single day.
quick question for an over 6 year old video. My microwave is my grandparents' old one made in the 90's and has no reheat button. It seems I shall always have cold and hot spots.
Not to brag, but I don't need to take my food out and put it back in. I do it all in one microwaving session.
Considering I have never had a microwave this is very useful
Air fryer also works well for reheating crisps /fried foods
So I’ve realized I’m in love with you. Didn’t think this is where we’d end up
What if you don't have a reheat option? Where I am in europe you don't see them that often.
Genuinely great CZcamsr
Yeah but when you put it back in to reheat, why did you put it in the center instead of on the edge? Great channel, man! I’m glad the algorithm recommended you!
i love everything about this video lol
I thought my microwave game was set only to learn not to put the food in the middle. So reasonable. Why did I never think of that?

"Don't put the dish in the center of the microwave." You are not allowed to destroy my life in this manner.
I’m a new fan toi your channel (only started around the take out challenge with other channels) and holy smokes you and your partner are so cute together :)
Also, set the power level to 80% and cook it a bit longer. It means lower maximum heat so things don't burn, dry or explode.
Do you cook everything in your oven at BROIL? No? Same thing with a microwave
