There’s so many “guides” someone needs to do a start to finish with v3.
GG just keeps getting better.
Soooo looking forward to the hdmi board!
Wonderful work!
Thank you for the as always easy to follow install vid, and thanks for sending this out quickly, I received it today just in time to install it for an awesome gift for the not so little anymore little one!!!
Just noticed from the accent you're also from Stoke, nice! Do you sell your mod kits in your physical shop? I might come down and buy a wireless GBP battery to save having to ship anything.
Sure do everything is on site
I have had more trouble with this kit than anything else I've ever done. The screen color comes on different colors each time I turn the power off then on again, now I'm seeing nothing but grey snow on the screen when I power on. I'm guessing something isn't right but who can tell since I can't find any info on this issue anywhere.
I bought a Cleanscreen from your ebay store about 3 days ago, will that be the V3 version?
Yep
Bought this Version 3 which is much better than Version 2, thicker PCB which gives a better impression of quality.
The menu can still be accessed by pressing the Left + Start + 2 buttons.
The description states that the kit has Scaling options for full size, original size, stretched. Which button do I press to enlarge the image?
Where does it have that left in? Will need to remove that. It's always scaled perfectly to window of GG now
@@RetroSix This can be seen in the description of your CleanScreen Version 2 kit, one of the partner stores Hand Held Legend that sells your kits in the USA (Read More) = "Scaling options for full size, original size, stretched".
I don't know if it's Luke I'm talking to ;) But "in stretched mode" the image is more fluid, you lose the edges of course but you gain in fluidity in terms of image = It doesn't flicker, there's no blocking and "aliasing" that appears. Try using the Version 1 kit in stretched mode on Sonic 1, for example, second world and second stage, you'll see it. This is a purist's point of view, of course.
What I'm about to tell you is for the sake of improvement only, because I really like your Clean Screen. But why have TrueMotion automatically activated, it's an absolutely disgusting blurr effect! Every time I change games, I have to disable it to get a clean image...
Later guys.
@@alphaphoenix55 thanks I'll pass the message to HHL to update the description. For the stretched mode I will soon be adding a full integer scaled laminated screen so this wont be an issue. I can also disable true motion by default going forward, I think not many games have frame blending tricks they use
Does that ribbon work on all va4 boards? The 837-9537 and the 837-9537-01?
The VA4/5 is its own version sold on site with different code and is currently hand wired
Do you plan to have a ribbon made for the va4?
Listing on the va4 cleanscreen page stated use of a wire free kit, so I was confused.
Yeah I'll make ribbon in future
Awesome, any rough ETA?
Great item just installed one the flex ribbons and pcb are high quality no aliexpress junk! I didn't notice the booster in the kit untill after I installed clock using the last video without booster 😂 was simple to add and works great
Is version 3.1.1 out now?
Yes. 1 chip ribbons now all wire free. 2 chip ribbons once stock runs out
What’s the difference between 1 and 2 chips? Performance?
@@ValentinoCarbone nothing much. 1 chip is newer
