  • The eye area sometimes needs extra care and attention. Not everyone needs eye cream, but some people can certainly benefit from one if they want to tackle specific concerns like discoloration, wrinkles, or puffiness.

That ROC Retinol Correxion Eye Cream has been recommended by other dermatologists as well so it seems like a good option. I’m using the Avene RetrinAL Eyes right now but it would be nice to have a cheaper option. I would never use an eye cream without retinaldehyde or retinol since I am prone to milia.

What's a good gentle beginner retinoid eye cream to targets wrinkles (bonus if it targets dark under eyes discoloration) and is for oily skin?-
I am 31 and have bad under eye wrinkles- and some smile lines too :( and oily skin that will get acne if I skip a day of my routine. I currently use Neutrogena oil free salicylic wash, benzol peroxide treatment from Clinic and Clinic lotion moisturizer for oily skin- it's the only thing that works for me and took a long time of experimenting to finally find this combo that works. I find using thick moisturizing creams breaks me out (for instance clinic's moisturizer for dry/combination breaks me out) But need an eye cream that minimizes these wrinkles!! Want to try a new one since I'm running out of my innisfree anti aging spot treatment, don't feel like it did anything.

I'm having a really though time removing my sunscreen from my eyelids. I have sensitive skin and my eyelids are the most sensitive of all. The only sunscreen I tolerate around my eyes are some specifics mineral sunscreen (not all mineral sunscreen work around my eyes) I use the Avene cleansing oil to remove the Avene compact around my eyes and there's always some left unless I cleanse 3 times or rub more. I'm concerned my eyes will get irritated if I continue this route. Am I missing something? Thanks!!

Just to verify… Are all of these recommended products gentle enough to apply to the eyelids (the lid area directly above the eye)?
I get confused with You Tubers who talk about products for the “eyelids” because many are really talking about the under-eye area rather than the eyelid which is commonly thought to be the lids ABOVE the eyeball.
