I got Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada because I am from south India, was able to recognise Bengali and Gujarati and I guessed Odia, other than that I didn't get anything. I thought Sindhi was Punjabi. The songs looks like carefully selected so guesses won't be easy. The rap one and a bit of the pop one were hard to understand any lyrics, a couple of them were like recorded in a room so that was also not easy. The Malayalam song was a cover of a hit song which is actually based on traditional Kerala Muslim song in which a lot of words are used which were originally assimilated from Arabic and is more used in the Muslim communities which may sound a bit like Urdu, so can't blame you guys for thinking it's Hindi.

Guys relax, especially RICK! This was tough even for most Indians. I am a North Indian so I guessed Punjabi easily. I would have guessed Haryanvi, Bhojpuri, Hindi and Urdu with as much ease. I got Bengali and Gujarati because I have friends who speak them. Rest of them, I was as clueless as you two were. I knew the quadrant where they belong but not exactly the language.
Also, Sindhi is the language of people belonging to the Sindh region (which is now in Pakistan) but there are many Sindhi people living in areas of GJ, RJ, MH and MP, mainly due to migration after partition. mainly

It's pretty hard, I confused Konkani for Marathi at first, even though we speak (a different dialect of) Konkani at home 😂
And for someone who has spent most of my life in different South Indian states, it was difficult to isolate and recognize the "conventionally distinct" Malayalam sounds in the Malayalam song, even though I knew it was not any of the other languages.
3 is a really good score for someone who is not familiar with how Indian languages sound different from each other 🙂
