Tom :/ almost sure the track titles from side B are references to Mark Fisher. He used the phrase "nostalgia for lost Futures" in his book "capitalist realism" and has another book out with "Hauntology" as part of its title.
actually FM-2030 was the first one to mention this phrase 'I am a 21st century person who was accidentally launched in the 20th. I have a deep nostalgia for the future'

@@mariamwatson4291 but the key word here is "lost". mark fisher's whole point of hauntology is that the future that fm-2030 came from was an alternate timeline, a more utopian future that has been canceled by neoliberal bureaucracy. the future we were excited for never happened

jokes aside, if you are not going because of age or kids etc, come on! I raved with people at the age of 50! never too late. just do not do drugs so often. Im 21 now but I believe I and my wife will go to raves until our hearts say no. Rave is not going to a club or going out to get drunk, it is a culture we've created, we live, we belong.
@@cansabanci I started going to raves sober, maybe jacked up on too much caffeine, then I tried stuff, but now most drugs just don't appeal to me, cos they've become predictable, short lived, and too much of a hassle. In the end, it's really the energetic music and the smart positive community that lifted my spirit. Yeah, COVID-19 indoor would be a killer party, literally.
That said, I'd be down for an outdoor, forest or desert party. I think with DJ broadcasting from a micro radio over a mile radius, and ravers could all bring their own powered radios and be one of the many satellite speakers.
@@shumeister1059 yeah same! I still sometimes go raves only taking lots of caffeine, smoke some cigarettes. Yes it is the music, people, places, lights that makes me enjoy, drugs are enhancers for me, make lights brighter, male it easier to talk to people, dive deeper on music... I missed raves
