I always forget just how deep you dive to go spear fishing. I went once with my uncle he dangled a lure on the end of his three prong to tease wahoo and mahi.
No mo one drop of Hawaiian blood but my heart is 100% Hawaiian and Uncle's story was heartbreaking! The government is taking the Aina away! We no can let dem do dat! The people of Hawaii need to get together and send our senators and congress members to change the legislation like they did with Kam School and bring down the percentage of Hawaiian ethnicity to maintain the Aina! Im not half hawaiian but Uncle E dont have to explain anything. Too many people think they should be able to go wherever they want and there really should be places for natives only. And racism still exists today. Props to you and E for being proud natives. And be easy on those half breeds, were just stuck in the middle man its not easy.
I think it is great, it also makes me laugh at how many locals who try to talk the Hawaiian talk, don't amount to being Hawaiian at all. Think of all those locals who get butt hurt over not being able to be there.

I often travel to Hawaii as a tourist and respect the natives as much as possible and understand the struggle. I've also had some serious heated arguments and was threatened with a machete while I was relaxing on a "locals only", beach with my wife and 1 year old baby. The guy was angry at the white man for stealing his land and was drunk and obviously on meth. It changed how I view the struggle and feel different about the topic.
