This is so sweet, my mom and grandmother would watch me play animal crossing and I could explain to them for hours what I was doing in my town and which animal did what. I will always hold these sort of memories dear to my heart. Bless your soul.
This picture reminds me of why I use to love AC and why I don't really like the new ones. It was about the villagers, not about building. You decorated your room with memories you had with villagers, sometimes they would even take things away from you and it was like "WHAT MY THING IS GONE" but you remember that interaction. It was a game about interactions in a new town with new people, and sometimes it wasn't good, but you'd remember the villagers. Now its a borderline gacha about getting just the right 'cutest' villagers in your town and building a town that they largely ignore and they just repeat the same few lines.
I kinda still play the new ones like the old ones :D you don't need to build anything if you don't want to and you don't need to change your villagers or try to get a specific one.
I've been using this video to fall asleep and it been wonderful, but I would KILL for a version of this that just has City Folk music as City Folk was the Animal Crossing game I grew up on and it has a million times more nostalgia than any of the other AC games
Out of all the AC music playlists, this one with the two deer looking longingly at each other is the absolute best. The best tracks are on this one 😩
