    Harlow's crime and poverty is much worse in the last few years.
    Lots of unemployed from London and surrounding areas are being housed in random office buildings. I dropped a parcel off to one the other day and it's like living in a third world country.
    It's really risky walking around at night now and people get stabbed, robbed and beaten up all the time, especially at the clubs/pubs.

The girl' that I dated was racist and we had to date in secret and the girl I also dated was quite racist as well, we eventually broke up and I neverr went back there again. Outside London is not a place for black people and to date out there, the racism is too much and you will not fit in there,maybe in more mixed areas like Manchester,Birminham or Leciester

    Im from North London and went to Colchester Essex for Uni between 2013-2016, I stayed around campus most of the time.
    But when I started working in the town, I would walk home in the evening and had locals driving past screaming "n****" out of nowhere, it happened 3 times in one year.
    But that's as far as the racism went, I just found it strange because I had never experienced that in London.. Yes UK racism stays covert, no one will be proudly open about their views, it's a taunt-and-run situation all the time.

    Hi Quincy 82,
    I saw your fascinating video about living in Harlow after searching on CZcams for videos about Harlow. My white family lived there for 40+ years from 1957 to 2001 (I moved out in 2008 and now live in a much better place) but we only used Harlow as a place to sleep as we all worked in London or worked and studied away. We didn’t socialise in the town at all but when I was older I did make some friends but only of all older people in their 60’s and 70’s. Like you say I found it very hard to make friends of my own age in Harlow as I didn’t go to school there either. If you want to be friends there you need to have attended school or don’t bother trying to make friends.
    What you say about Harlow being mono-cultural is absolutely right. When we were there ethnic diversity didn’t exist at all. Everyone was white and from families of ex-Londoners who had moved there after the war. Like someone commented the poverty and deprivation was quite high in certain neighbourhoods. Not only that but I was left with the strong impression that Harlow people are very insecure and narrow minded with very little knowledge of the wider world.
    One of the things I could never understand was that like you said it was designed and built in 1947 but even in 2001 they still called it Harlow New Town even after more than 60 years! When was it going to grow up and mature?
    Best wishes to you in Palmers Green.
    Chris.

I remember working as pizza delivery driver. I was doing a delivery down one street and I came across two young boys in winter who had poured hot water onto the street on a cold evening. • @palacehaunter5442

    Can I just say Quincy 82 that west and north london is too multicultural and expensive I have these better options you should consider. South and East London is where it is at. In north East you have Enfield/Edmonton and Enfield a very standard place you could consider living in London. South London has Croydon/Lewisham/Brixton/Peckham, all down to earth working class areas and not posh like West London, plus you have some blacks there. East London you got Barking.Hackney/Dagenham/Newham and the capital of East London ROMFORD. All these areas are great and you would like it, proper London with everyone ultra happy and satisfied plus Romford has access to all areas of Essex including puurfleet/Chelmesford and Basildon!-come on Quincy give some kudos to these areas

    • @Quincy82AAC
      @Quincy82AAC  Před 3 lety

      It's funny and ironic that you mentioned these areas because I was born in Hackney North East London and I lived there until I was 7 years old in 1989 and from 1989 to 1998, I grew up in Upper Edmonton, Lower Edmonton and Cockfosters all in North London all in the London Borough of Enfield so that makes me a North Londoner through and through and I currently live in Cockfosters, North London one of the areas that I grew up in plus I am never going to leave North London it suits my personality and I can afford to live in this area as well. I can never live in another part of London unless its City Road in North London on the Hackney/Islington border, Finsbury in East Central London near Holborn, Ealing Broadway in West London and Twickenham in South West London because those are nice areas to live in. Also I need to live in a multiracial area because I don't have to deal with any racism on a regular basis.
