this is really good. However, there was this guy named Brock Butler(Perpetual Groove) who use to tear the roof off with this song every Sunday nite @ Mellow Mushroom Pizza in Savannah,GA...
There are better performances he did of this song. Back in the day of Napster someone got a pristine recording from one of his shows and it is AMAZING. No fooling around, just fantastic vocals and a really good recording device. Hope he follows up on the Weezer & Weird Al cover recently release (2018) and does this finally on a new album (last release was awhile ago by Howie). He's touring right now, so maybe something is in the works.
You know what I hate more than people who throw away promising careers because they aren't willing to try? People who blindly defend their brash actions as if they are inspiring and noble. If you admire him so much, emulate him. Fuck around at your job like it doesn't mean anything. When you get laid off, we can have this discussion again. By the way, when this was recorded (2001) Howie Day had only been "active" for about a year. The weeks and weeks of toil wouldn't have set in that quickly.
that was incredible!
YOU THE MAN NOW DOGE
awesome!
where can i find a version of him doing this with looping at the end. i know it exists cos i have acopy....just not a video version
Pretty perfection
i really love this song, but this version is really awesome
He has done the best version of Elton John's Daniel I've ever heard.

ok that was painful to see, but awesome to listen to. loved it!
he was 21
I would buy that if he wouldn't be using drugs. :)
But yes, it really shows how he enjoys playin
I believe the musical style at the end is called Gar-bahj
If he didn't fool around in this. It would have been a great cover.
