You're living the dream! I want to do the same thing, homeschool and work as a software engineer. Thanks for the motivation

It’s not easy but if I can do it so can you!

I’m a stay at home dad to 2 boys under 4 on the same journey. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi! I’m a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, starting the same journey. My husband got into tech first and we relocated to a different country. I supported our family by homeschooling (international school tuition fees are ridiculous). We moved to a new country where we could finally send kids to a good public school and I could focus with my career. I decided to focus learning software development as I am unfortunately under-qualified for a lot of IT management roles . The boredom really resonated with me. As much as I love my kids, I love solving problems bigger than my household gives me. Your story is very inspiring, I’d love to connect more 😊 (sent you an invite on LinkedIn too!) Cheers!

Great to hear from you! It really is hard to find a way for both kids and adults to be happy in this day and age. That’s kind of what I’m on a quest for

Love this! Thank you for the very down to Earth chat! It really spoke to me, exactly where I’m at with my brain being bored but also not wanting to get a full time job so that I’m here for my son. Hahaha, except for the 4 kids part, I only have 1 & wondering how I will fit it in so well done to you for doing it with 4 young kiddos! Super woman!

Honestly, it’s probably easier with 4, because they have each other to play with. But the main thing is if you know what you want, you can usually find a way to swing it.

Thank you for this. I’m starting to learn to code along with my husband. He is still going to work full time at his cdl job while we learn and I’ve been very scared I won’t be able to find a remote job as a self taught programmer. This is so inspiring. I’m giving myself 1-2 years to learn and find a remote job. 💕

Hi! I am trying to do the same ! But I am currently working full time 😅. How & where are you planning on starting. Do you have any tips or resources? I’ll really appreciate it 😊

Getting that first job is definitely the hardest. I always recommend learning in public to show people who you are and what you can do and eventually the opportunities will come to you

I am currently enrolling to a bootcamp. I have a 2 1/2 old and currently unemployed. My husband is in the Military, so this is my chance to jump into something new and make changes.

Hi, your story is extremely inspiring! But I do have a question because it’s something I’m trying to figure out while going on this journey myself and my question is, how do you manage your time while working/coding at home and taking care of your 4 babies? I will have 3 under 3-4 y/o soon and I want to make sure there’s a solution for them to get the time, education, and attention they’d need at the young age they are. I’m thinking of hiring a babysitter but I know that will add up as a large expense if it’s someone who’s paid fairly. So if you have any suggestions on how you occupied, educated, and gave attention to your children while in the first year or 2 working remotely it would be really helpful!:)

I want to do it & I like algebra, too. I just wonder if it's possible as a single mom.

I know others have done it. Especially if you have anyone who is willing to help out.

It took me about a year at 10 hours per week from when I started to getting my first gig.
I outlined the whole process with the resources I used in an ebook to help others who want to follow the same path. Link in the description. Good luck!
