You couldn’t change squad numbers in this one, it wasn’t the best. If you signed a player better than your current no 2, they’d take the number 2. Otherwise they’d take the next nearest number so you’d have to be careful to avoid signing a striker while like no 5 and 6 were free. Lot of gymnastics to make it work!
I played this about a month ago on the PS3 and it's still amazingly good for 15 years later
It's always good imo when you can go back and revisit a game and it's still enjoyable all this time later. 👍
I always remember doing the 🤫 celebration on one of the old Fifas long enough that John Motson iirc would comment on how disrespectful that was to the opposing fans. 😂

Do it. You can pick up all the old games up for couple of quid. I'm having so much fun on 10 World Cup. Such a great game compared to today's offerings.
Eafc 25 should let the player to play for 20 to 21 years or till 41 maximum
Old player career modes were alright, but pre FIFA 17, manager career mode was a bit rubbish, truth be told. The only feature I'd realistically want back, is player/manager career, cause that's an ideal scenario for me, who likes to do a bit of a player career before retiring to manager

I don’t really like the career mode cause it is just too confusing. I made a new career not too long ago, maybe 2-3 months ago, and I tried signing this one player, but the team he played for kept rejecting my offers, saying “Your bid price is not sincere enough.” I don’t even know what that means, so I just payed exactly what he was worth, and it was STILL rejected! If anyone knows what that means, please tell me and how to meet the demands of the teams, but for now, FIFA 09 career mode is my least favorite career mode.
If a club is saying that you need to up the bid. You can also look to keep the price down but offer to trade a player. There are two figures, what your club thinks he is worth and the transfer value. You have to haggle, otherwise it would be a bit boring. Good luck.
