as a "Canadian" whos people came from Ireland, and anyone not First Nation here in Canada is an immigrant or descendant of one, as this land is First Nation land and we are visitors, and I hope to come home to Ireland one day..... perchance you feel us calling you all that we got to help the First Nation here to get this land back to them, and then come home. our ghosts would be less mad if they had somewhere to go home to I think... blessed be sisters.
A few years ago,
I expressed a long-held opinion of mine to these two wonderful musicians, that there are only four categories of music - if you're driving in your car and a song comes on the radio, you'll react in one of four ways: leave the volume as it is, turn it up, turn it down, or turn it off. Gemma seemed to consider this for a moment and then said , "No, there's one more: when you have to pull the car over to the side of the road and turn off the engine" There's not many pieces of music fit that category. This is definitely one of them.
As a Canadian who lived in and loves Ireland...this song goes straight to my soul 💚
