One of the many promises that BT's upcoming artist album beholds, is the intriguing 'Skylarking'. The follow-up to the sensation that was 'Must Be The Love' ft. Arty and Nadia Ali, is another work of art.
Crisp clear soundscapes and dreamy melodies send you off to a different place and time -- one of the many side-effects of BT's significant sound. 'Skylarking' sets a spark alight, for you to grasp.
That little flourish at 6:31 was god-tier. This will stay evergreen as one of the greatest songs ever composed.
Honestly as a music lover deep in my soul of many genres, I still come back to this one frequently after more than a decade. Truly a masterpiece

I like that he threw that in there. It only happens once but I look forward to it every time.
When I was six, my mom passed away. I don't have many memories of her, mostly just pictures. But when I listen to this song, I start to feel like she's closer to me. It makes me feel that somehow I'm still connected to her...I can feel it in my heart. It brings tears to my eyes and it makes my hands shake, but I can feel her love again because of this song.
BT, wherever you are, I want to thank you for writing this song, because it means so so so very much to me.

I love trance... Chillout, progressive, uplifting, vocal. this song comfortably falls into at least 3. masterpiece
In 2016 I moved to London and it was the biggest change of my life. I was in a dark place and never thought I will come out of it but this song was my best friend and accompanied me in my lonely walks on the streets of one of the biggest cities in the world. Now, when I listen to it, each time it brings tears of nostalgia to my eyes because although that period was not the happiest in my life it was the best!

One of my all-time favorite songs by one of my all-time favorite artists.
I love being reminded of epic tunes.
Ahhh this brings me back. I got hooked on trance music in 1997 or so, my older friends turned me on to BT and I eventually got to see him play (with those same friends) in 1999 at The Warfield in San Francisco. It would have been a truly amazing show, had the sound guys not mangled a connection somewhere.
Anyway, this album is mostly all bass music, which I'm not against, being a glitch hop DJ, but this first track is BT telling us he's still got those trance grooves from yesteryear. I wonder if the bass/glitch producers that he worked with on A Song Across Wires were big fans of his during the 90's rave scene.. or if they were even old enough :)
If Mozart had access to modern ways of making music, he'd have produced a song like this. Fight me!
