"I got lucky" he ain't THAT crazy. LTG actually did good first round, but then started to complain too much and lost concentration.
i dont think he did well, i think he did the same. Every game I saw him playing gill he was always poking from max range of his normals and whenever he got a decent hit he would try to combo into it. Feels like nephew was just testing the waters first game.
I was surprised he said that. If only that mentality sticks around when he loses....

edit: Which isn't to say he never wins, it's just kinda his gimmick to act as if everything is planned. LTG is the equivalent of rocket league players who do the "Calculated." message.
That's what's interesting to me. He's actually a really good player, I know he would beat me every day of the week, but his mindset holds him back from being the best.

That shimmy into the strike by Kolin to take the first round of the last match was *chef's kiss*.
The difference in attitude between the two of them is pretty dramatic - Nephew loses the first and you can tell he learned from it and applied what he learned in the 2 resultant matches.
LTG blamed everyone and everything else for his own shortcomings, refused to accept his loss, didn't learn from it, and then took out his anger on his chat.
His insecurity as a result of his own ineptitude just bleeds out of the monitor.

I think it’s pretty amusing that dale constantly complains about a lack of footsies from his opponent when almost any character he plays in street fighter has a tool that he uses primarily to avoid footsies.
In SF3, he plays Urien and Oro, who both have a projectile that he uses excessively to keep an opponent from engaging in footsies with him.
In SF4, he plays Rose, who has a projectile, that soul scarf, and an install orbiting projectile shield super that he uses excessively to keep an opponent from engaging in footsies with him.
In SF5, he plays Urien, Falke, and Gill, who all have a projectile that he uses excessively to keep an opponent from engaging in footsies with him.
And in SF6, he uses JP, who has an entire moveset centered around keeping an opponent at a distance by using 4 different types of projectiles, a physical attack counter, and several disjointed physical moves centered around sending an opponent to the other side of the screen.
Dale has never been good at footsies, he’s just upset that in newer street fighter games, there are more ways to get around the zoning that he used to use as a “get out of footsies free” card.
Him saying anything like “I got lucky” is something new to me
LTG has some excellent footsies. Nobody throws out crouching light-kicks a full screen away from the opponent like he does.
Nobody throws out anti air fireballs on walk ins quite like him.

Honestly LTG isn’t a bad player. While he could improve he isn’t bad. His main flaw is the “if you win it’s fake or whatever”. Hit the lab bro, you don’t know it all.
Games change over time, if you don’t like where it is now then play something else. But you can’t complain when you use the same tactics to win.

As much as ltg complains about v-trigger, he does realize that its a comeback mechanic. These mechanics are pretty standard in fighting games now, its just v-trigger actually requires more skill since you actually have to do something with it. Most are just attacks that just hitting a single attack that leads to loads of damage.

I think ltg could work on his nooch a bit more because he was kinda button mashing and hoping something would work. Also he needs to work on confirms because he'll get a hit and then not do anything with that. Lastly he needs to know that gill is super negative so trying to out press people with buttons isn't going to work well
