Hi Dane, I just wanted to express my gratitude for the videos you create and share on your channel. Your videos are of great quality and you have obviously put a lot of time into making them. Your knowledge and experience comes through in every one. I passed my test today on the third attempt. Your videos played no small part in that I’m sure. I just wish I had come across your channel sooner. Will be recommending to anyone I meet who is doing the test. Thanks, Alex

Passed my driving test today Dane and I have to say even though I only had one driving lesson with you I truly believe you and your brilliant videos have helped me pass first time after 10 short months driving so many many thanks
Liz Doyle Liz that's fantastic news, I remember you well, we just had the one lesson in Wexford but I knew that you could do it after I saw you drive, you were and are a very capable and really great driver. Congratulations on a fabulous achievement - a great way to start the new year 😊
hi Dane Tyghe, my name is Maggie and I passed my driving test today, I watched your videos, I have to say very clear and easy instructions to follow, especially the video on the reverse around the bend. I have taken some very good tips from your videos and I will continue to use them, thanks
Hi Dane! I’m absolutely delighted as I’ve just passed in my (first) driving test with only 2 marks!!! It’s remarkable and I have to say thanks a lot to you for all the hints! If weren’t for the videos I wouldn’t have passed! I’ll donate to your PayPal as soon as possible to say thanks! 🙏🏻😃
The indication on the turnabout ("turn in the road" as it's known in the UK) is an interesting one because I know on the UK driving test a signal isn't required. The reason being is that you shouldn't be performing a turn in the road unless the road is clear and thus an indicator isn't necessary since there wouldn't be anybody around to benefit from a signal.
Collins LFC That is a valid point and I've heard it before but just because we can't see anyone doesn't mean that nobody is about, with so many spots in a car (even more so in a van) it is possible that a cyclist, pedestrian or other road user could benefit even if the driver isn't able to see them. But I do take your point.
I'm an confident driver on my own with no mistakes but the minute the tester did get in I was so nervous made so many mistakes & failed. any tips how to overcome nerves?
I'm not really sure, I don't think it would be a problem but I'm not sure because I never ever ask people to do it. You have far more control on the wheel if you just turn your head and shoulders and keep 2 hands on your wheel. I don't know why you'd want to put your hand on the other seat as I think it would give you less control.
Hi Dane, I was trying to find the handbook with illustration about how to drive in Ireland to help me understand more the positions on the road etc. you recommended one at some videos, but I am not able to find, could you please tell me the title¿ so I can buy it. Thanks
I have so many videos about driving that they could all apply to you, but I would recommend that you buy the Rules of the Road Ireland book published by the RSA, you'll find it in bookshops and you can download it online. If you've any specific questions on driving email me at danetyghe@gmail.com
Tanya Marie Murphy That's a problem sometimes Tanya, you must try to keep moving so you can judge what way the car reacts to your wheel movement. I am in the process of actually making a video on the reverse around the corner but it'll probably take a few more weeks so hopefully that will be a help to you ☺️

Hi Dane great videos starting lessons next week just wondering is it ok to take a corner in 3rd gear
Good luck with your lessons, you could take a Corner in 3rd gear but if it's sharp it would be better in 2nd

Should I indicate when about to avoid a pothole the same way I do when dealing with hazards?
If you move out a lot yes

My issue with the reverse is that I do it too slow. Have you any tips on that? Or is that something you see regularly?

I've a question can you bring the person taking the test up a side road with no road markings or space for both cars to pass each other safely basicly a country road
+name2things yes you could if it's safe and legal although I'm not really sure why you'd want to do such a thing.
Dane Tyghe it was done to dodge traffic in the town but I wouldn't call it safe near hit two cars flying around a blind corner

Can you leave babys carseats in the car when doing your test?
Yes that's fine, make sure they are securely fitted.
