For real man. People actually wrote great songs back then. Not just five minutes of weird picking. That’s cool for like 30 seconds, but they can’t write a song that doesn’t sound computer generated. Maybe I’m just getting old and grumpy. Lol. These darn kids.
I still find it hard to believe I was the same age as these guys when they were putting out the music and albums. Way back in the day. We’re all getting older. Still rocking.
Okay, I mean the dude just sort of WAILS this tune out and makes look as easy as standing in line at the store the store buying pickles or something. Freaking amazing player! Also, to see him, after all these years grinning and feeling joy at playing this song still is magical too. Beach is animal.
Reb is a top tier musician. This piece is not easy to compose, let alone play, and he does it flawlessly. The best guitar players keep time exceptionally well with this video providing proof of Reb's superior inner metronome.
I've met Reb multiple times while working for TSA. He was always professional and great to deal with. He's a great guitarist, his songs bring me back to simpler times.
reb is one of those guy who doesn't miss the opportunity ,if he sets up the rhythm he will always deliver the great solo . i say that because i have heard many guitarist given a platform to do a great solo only to fall flat . K.H for eg .wont say his name his fans get really angry .
I'm glad he's doing these guitar clinic events again! 🎸 That seventeen song solo by Reb is always so epic! Thank you so much for filming and posting this video 🙏 I really appreciate it!
I don't know if you're into interviews, but Reb was on Master of Shred's channel and he talked a lot about his guitars, techniques, and overall it's fun to watch.
@@iganpparamarta8813 Wait⚡️ why did that name you mentioned Master of Shred's sound familiar!? I had already seen that same interview about Reb Beach 🙏 ✨️ a couple of years ago ⛓️ I agree it was a funny and awesome interview episode !!
Probably the second best use of this solo is in a McClintock Mashup called Judette--She's got the Sentiel.😜Great to see Reb still out there doing it.🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸
Is there a website to follow these guitarists to know where the clinics are etc? I’m so jealous watching this video 😂 Have loved Winger since they first came on to mtv with Madeline and seventeen….. that and their 2 album I loved the best…. Wish they had stuck to their 80s sound after but as we all know times change with the music industry aholes 😅
Totally underrated 80's riff. Too bad the record producer added than one controversial line in the song, but even without that it's kinda awkward still playing this well into your 50's lol. Kinda like the Who doing "teenage wasteland" on into their 70's.
I sat down next to him in Cleveland at a Holiday Inn bar after a Coliseum show back in the 80's and said Hi... He was kind of a dick that night. Every other band that ever came through there were totally cool. IDK maybe he was just having a bad night.
Paul Taylor was at the bar (Northern Lights Clifton Park NY) before their show in very early 2000s and was really cool and down to earth. He really wasn't with the band that often anymore but joined up with them that night. Taylor was so approachable and warm to chatting it was cool. I thanked him for his time and he was so gracious and humble.
At least u got to experience a night next to him…. Not many fans can say that….could have been the popularity got to his head then and as u get older maybe u realize with age how important the fans are and they get more “chill”…. In any case in times like this thankfully we see him as a more respectable down to earth guy
As a guitarist, i can say with complete confidence that Reb's guitar work on this song deserves a spot on the "coolest riff and solo of the 80s" list!
Monster band. Miss guitar tunes like this. Incredible musicianship that missing from today’s garbage

Man, the smile on his face when Kip's vocals kicked in. That was fantastic.
Not only is he a great guitarist, he's a great person as well...

One of the best leads I’ve ever heard.
Then you must be very young or new.
Excellent! Spent my youth following these hair bands......damn good music and damn good times!
One of the greatest guitar tracks of the 80's.

I saw REB and Doug in Whitesnake. Silver Springs, FL. They were outstanding
He's so freakin good. it's really effortless for him to play that, which by the way , is harder than hell.
Love this clip because of his smile on his face.
He is a god. Period!
Hands down my fav solo ever!
Every winger album is a guitar clinic
Exceptionally Fluid Player 🎼🎼
Reb is a underrated player doesnt get enough credit the man can play.
You are overrating your opinion. Stop the "underrated" nonsense on YT. Please. It's ridiculous.
@@mantelmann13agreed. Reb has never been underrated. These guys ruled MTV when I was in high school.
Wow when I learned this back in the day I was playing it in many different positions... no wonder it was so hard to play... lmao

Which airport does he work at? 😂

Such a killer riff. Reb is awesome.

Unbelievable playing and super creative riffs but man those lyrics are super creepy 😆
Reb was my first guitar hero! I was 12 in 1988.
Excellent guitarist. Saw him live with Whitesnake. Amazing live act. :-)
Totally agree, a fantastic guitar player
What a great player. saw him at Broadway music in Merrillville Indiana back in the early 's..
One of the greatest solos in the rock era.
I would love to drive down to Pittsburgh one day and just hang and talk about the 80’s and the music
He's my best friend. Solid dudes.
That's a gorgeous guitar
G-d damn that solo has so much swagger!
Probably the second best use of this solo is in a McClintock Mashup called Judette--She's got the Sentiel.😜Great to see Reb still out there doing it.🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸
Outstanding performance thank you 👍
WOW! Excellent guitar playing!
Reb is a master at the guitar, a total beast !
Awesome player and down to earth kinda guy!
Great, Reb snake Neach, you're amazing! Love from Brazil!
Damn, sounds a lot like Nuno’s newest solo, at least some of it, the high picking part with the pause. And this song is some 30 something years old!😮
I always start my parties with this song! My guests perk up and start head bangin'!!
Ot only is he great - he came up with this solo as a youngster !!!!!!
Makes it look so effortlessly!
Amazing guitarist.
Very underrated...love Black Swan....
One of the all time best rock songs.
definitely underrated but hey, it was the 80s, tons of amazing shredders everywhere.
oh to have long fingers like that!
Killin it!
Damn . . Reb rips even harder with less effort now!
Beast.
This guy's pretty good 🎸
Did I just watch Reb use his pinky finger? That's new.
Awesome
Someone get this old man some aqua net!
17? I give that a 100 🤘!!
Wow.
he's played that a couple times!

Always liked this guy... anyone know which CAE amp he is using here?
🤘🏼
This song is very similar to Inside Out by XYZ.
Yep we’re getting old
Fuckin bad ass shredder!

What was the controversial line?
@@Twobarpsi christ, it took me ten seconds to google and work it out
"Daddy says she’s too young, but she’s old enough for me"
kool
Hmm...why not the outro solo? Always thought it had a more melody-driven, "jamming" kind of flow
I kinda wonder if Winger would have been taken more seriously if Kip were ugly?
juan sake
that was nasty and dirty..........and when I say that I mean NASTY and DIRTY in a good way.........well done..
No more perm? Stewart will be dissapointed.
