- Volkswagen Virtus 2022 tested with both the 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI in the GT trim. Taking styling cues from the Jetta, the 2022 Virtus looks fantastic and with the MQB-A0-IN platform along with powerful TSI engines the performance and dynamics are also top of the class. Can the VW Virtus GT revive interest in sedans? We definitely hope so!

Would you pick the Virtus GT over the City Hybrid?
Yes because of build and performance
If it has manual
Definitely 😊
Anyday if comes in manual ❤️ 😍
Yes! Hybrid is just a gimmick!
What i love about evo is that they don't fuss about with bootspace and infotainment and all that jazz.. driving pleasure is number one priority and that's what evo tells us and i love it
thank you!
Suvs are just like passing clouds, Sedans are like sky
Sedans for life 🔥
These FWD crossovers popular here are not even real SUVs. More like glorified hatchbacks
@@Chopper153 they're the most practical in India
well said!
VW has done great work with Virtus and it will prove out to be the segment benchmark. 1.5 DSG has everything working for it, be the styling or the performance or the equipment levels. Although I bought a Taigun 6 months back, this is tugging my heart strongly and would definitely want to own one😀
Nothing like a good car to indulge the enthusiast in oneself
So VW has left the responsibility to us to make the "GT" a proper "GT".
Yep!
To the point review. Sharp and no bullshitting. You got a subscriber.
The Virtus has one of those designs that looks much better in person than on video..
Haha! It does look good though!
2023 and a Car costing 20lakhs with rear drum brakes.
Outstanding 👏👏
I wish VW had given both cars in a different color for press runs.. we are now used to these colors and would have loved to see a GT in blue/curcuma and a 1 ltr in perhaps white
What We have asked is an mind blowing review, you have delivered the same. Thanks
Thank you!
How is 1.5 virtus ac performance? Is it effective
01:19 The air dam should have had smaller sized holes to help protect the radiator/intercooler.
Hi sirish. I really need your help here.
Which one to go for. Slavia 1.5 or Virtus 1.5 GT.?
I like the virtus sporty looks. Don't like the AC vents though. Slavia looks more elegant and dash looks more premium to me. I don't want door rattling noise in the long term. Initially taigun had those issues. Please guide me through this one.
These are made for India product ! So it would be safe to wait for an year after the launch !
The Virtus truly looks a gentlemans GT...... Very elegant and if prices right could just be the best car money can buy.... Across all segment.....
Virtus is exceptionally beautiful ❤️
💯
Slavia or Virtus which is fun to drive. Pls post a video like kushaq vs taigun🔥🤝
Sirish ji why can't we have comparison between TAIGUN 1.5 /VIRTUS 1.5
Absolutely agree, the car looks good, however, the more-than-required ground clearance and back-heavy looking stance is not VW'ish and definitely not the Euro car look. Just these two things tease you when you are looking at this car as a VW. C'mon, if VW want to give their customers a vehicle with high ground clearence, the Taigun is already there!
True, but then again look at our roads. If it scrapped its underside we'd have criticised that to high heavens
Shirish pl do an article on Wagon R F10d
Can you please suggest me which one should I buy. Bit confused. Please suggest me among...Slavia 1lt , Honda city petrol/diesl, VW Tiagun 1lt, vw Virtus 1lt. I heard that Honda city diesel generates noise in cabin. I travel Max 200km on average per month. Please suggest. Thank You.
Check out the verna diesel. It's got powerful diesel. It gives good mileage as well
City vtec should do the job..
Will do a comparo soon!
@@sirishch Yes please! Waiting for the comparison video. Thanks for the amazing review Sirish!
Does it have the electronic slip differential of Slavia?
exact same Slavia specs
@@sirishch Ok. Thanks.
I own a polo gt tsi 2020 model .. and i have personally test drive the taigun gt and i dont feel connected with the car .. the body metal sheet was somehow light than the polo gt .. the thudd was not there when you close the doors .. the steering wheel feels little light than my polo gt & graphics quality of the cockpit does feel premium but in terms of driving the engine performance was awesome ... hope the vw virtus gt does well
If VW increase the steering weight a bit it'll make a dramatic difference to the perception of being connected to the road
@@sirishch yes absolutely right .. sirish sir
Sedan space sure is about to heat up. And VW-Skoda already got a head start. Come on Tamo and M&M.
Q 1 - Visibility Difference from Drivers Seat in Taigun Vs Virtus - How do u Rate out of 10 ; Q 2 - Why Taigun is priced higher Vs Virtus though Smaller in Dimensions
Slavia and Virtus 🔥🔥
✌️
Everytime I watch a video from Evo india, one thing is constant, the driver seat is adjusted to the lowest setting possible on earth 😅😎
Why don't you guys do a real driving test in bumper to bumper traffic conditions and talk about how gear shifting happens there? Even AMT feels good in straight open roads...
would you suggest a torque converter or a DCT variant?
If you want reliability, get the TC. If you want the most fun to drive car, you should get the 1.5 TSi with manual transmission.
for out and out performance of course the DSG
@@Chopper153 1.5 TSI with manual is love. Would have to go with Slavia for that. Not a fan of Taigun or any C-SUVs.
Nice video ❤️👍 Super 👍
thanks!
Fun to drive = NOT INDIAN look at Ford
Indians like tin cans and doll houses
For enthusiasts like I am.. hope the GT+DSG is here to stay..
Nice review.. hope u can influence the buying process of 99.89%.. for the rest of us.. we will be going for this… so are u on..? EvoIndia
I'm a first time buyer of VW, planning for virtus, please let me know about service cost of VW cars ?
Get extended warranty for sure..
it has become very competitive now
06:17 Best angle to look at the Virtus!
I went back to check what angle was at that time stamp! and I agree
@@sirishch thanks for the reply 😊
@@sirishch sir jeep meridian review
Like the energy of Sirish. Saw one fast talking review before this. 5 mins into it and headache.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would like to know What makes Virtus different from Slavia
Styling in the main
@@sirishch 👍💯
1:46 not sure what I heard was right 😂
Boot lid spoiler?
Superb...
I don't have enough curse words for those front aircon vents placed by some sedan hater in an otherwise masterpiece of a sedan
It seems like India has the best cars and the reviewers are excellent too seems like Volkswagen in the euros who are in India are doing a great job for the Indian market should tell the United States to get their a** together You need to do a wristwatch check long live the speed master
✌️
🔥🔥🔥
I’ve checked out the new Taigun personally and was very disappointed with it’s sheet quality and metal strength. There is no more “thud” when you close the doors. When tapping it’s sheet, it just didn’t feel solid and I felt like it was a Maruti or a Hyundai.
Keeping fingers crossed for Virtus. Hope the build and sheet quality aren’t compromised on this.
it should be safe that's enough! even kiger have thin sheet metal, but it's surprisingly scored well.
Maruti's cars are even cheaper
@@primusautobot That's a good point. But TSI tech is expensive
I personally own a Polo. Was disappointed when I compared the sheet and build quality in comparison to my Polo TSI. My car’s doors feel much solid than that of a Taigun.
@@pranay55 same feelings for me (I owned a Vento)
Great car for the price
lets see what they finally price it at
Whoever is editing the video should tone down the saturation filter
will tell our video editors
Put that 1.5 TSI with Manual on a Polo and it will be a dream car.
RIP Polo
Superb car... the strong powerful one
nice car
First time vw better styling than Škoda
Diesel in this segment could have sold like hot cake.
that make up the enthusiasts have already planned, as soon as its out of showroom; damn lower it and 17”
tuners rejoice!
Will have GT
Slavia / Virtus ..vs octavia please
if you can afford the Octy by all means the Octy
Of course Volkswagen
Lower it, dechrome it, put some proper wheels and tyres! those are the very first things to do!! :)
true! but the chrome isn't OTT
@@sirishch yes, but masking that will make the car look more compact!
1L 3 cyl engine on a car of this size and price is a joke ! Get 1.5 tsi or stage 2 5th Gen Honda City ivtec !
Sirish seems like a "nationalist", have rarely heard him saying India or Indian.. it's always "our country" and us!
Sir i understand GT needs to a little more GT..bt for an avg buyer lyk me..i will nt buy it to go on to race tracks everyday..i want 1.5lt engine+ i DONT want ground clearance to be lower bcoz of bad roads+ 17 inch wheels will take a hit on ride quality
Then this is perfect!
This guy definitely doesn't know what GT means
1:10.. what the hell? Why this obsession with chrome? I f+cking hate it. Chrome should be given as an option ........... It looks awful..............
worst review.
