  • Topaz Photo AI is Topaz Labs brand new photo editing software that was designed to be a complete stand-alone photo editing software that combines Topaz Gigapixel, Sharpen, and Denoise into one app. Topaz Photo AI promises to deliver excellent image quality, ensuring that every image you edit will be free of noise, sharp, and the proper size if a resize is necessary.
    In this video, I review the software and talk about how to use it.

    The sharpen feature looks like it does wonders on the two pictures presented. It was quite a difference the ferns were blurry but you could tell the details in the foreground after you adjusted the slider bar. Cheers to another great topaz review

      It is definitely worth picking up Photo AI while it’s still on sale! Love having everything I need in just one app. Thanks for checking it out!

    Funny I came to watch this and saw the photo. I took that same shot--Capital Reef area in Utah. Those grey black hills are unique.

    Austin uses the 'edit in' pathway out of Lightroom, after some editing, whereas Topaz recommend the plug in pathway before editing. I'm with Austin to use 'edit in' as the plug in pathway loses lens corrections but I find it better to leave all editing until after initial Topaz processing. I'm also finding - as a new user - that Topaz is typically a good deal too fierce with ordinary scenes, producing artificial-looking results. I'd like to see a 'global' slider in the control panel, capable of dialling down all 'corrections'. (Currently too, subject selection sucks and correction of mis-selection sucks worse!) A great program however - viewed as work in progress - and a most helpful video.

      Thanks for checking it out Eric! The selection tool certainly didn’t seem too great when I used it. Not something I need to use much in landscape photography, but other types of photographers would definitely appreciate a more robust selection tool.

    What is the difference between photo ai and the two denoise and sharpen ai?
    I love the idea of only having one plug-in to worry about, but is there anything I would miss by not having the two?

    I got this program and I'm amazed at how good it can make things. It can also make things look awful and very fake. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and shouldn't let AI do the entire job. I'm mostly impressed either way.

    Imo Photo AI is too harsh in diffusing backgrounds and surfaces in focus with graduated light in the brighter end of the scale. The result sometimes looks synthetic. That problem can be manage with DeNoise AI, but not with this autonomous Auto Pilot. So far Photo AI seems to be a step backwards compared to the latest DeNoise AI. This problem has not improved from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.4, so I wonder what Topaz is prioritizing?

      @AustinJamesJackson  Před rokem

      Interesting! I’ll have to test it, but it seemed to work the same for me in Photo AI versus DeNoise AI.

      @@AustinJamesJackson The problem is that Photo AI seems to remove all noise from the background, which can be a problem, if you want it to look natural. A bit of noise is preferable, still imo.

    Good explaining, but you're wiping the mouse for comparison, way too fast, for me :-)

    ...the left right wiping "extremely annoyingly fast"...fun for you maybe, not for the viewer...also...no law against using "you guys" (but maybe there should be and in fact, there have been suggestions to such effect), but using it as much as you do, is hugely irritating...cool it a bit overall.....just cool it...

    i bet u had more examples but didnt use them coz they didnt go well eg close up faces.. even with topaz video ai i gotta pay $199 (after sale) to do photos now?! wtf

      I actually used the best noisy shots I had! I’ve yet to find a photo that doesn’t work well with the Topaz software. However, I don’t use the face recovery very often since I am primarily a landscape photographer, which is why I don’t really have a close up face photo with a noisy face.

    I'm 4 mins in and the speed you slide the before and after bar is so fast that I don't even have a chance to see any difference. The curser is flying around at similar speed Stopped watching.
