This style of blade has always been my favorite since I was a little boy. I'm just now learning how to make one correctly. But I've learned enough to make a 11 inch blade tanto successfully.
Great job! I've always preferred the look of copper to say brass or stainless steel for handle pieces ,habakis ,and pommels, do I am really enjoying this three piece set of your's!
Going for more of the saber point style of wakizashi. An interesting choice, since it certainly isn't the most stereotypical shape for those weapons. Historically accurate one, though. There was a huge amount of diversity in blade shapes and construction methods.
Trully magnificent work, your expertise in this art is certainly enormous. Always a delight to see your videos. I must ask, could you tell me the title of the book you show in this video? I would love to get myself one...
it's usually a steel wire, I use guitar string tho. be careful which kind you use, because the copper can melt and fuse with the blade. it's cool looking but the look it gives isn't always desired
Hey, I’m french and in France, that book is called « Sabres Japonais d’exception » so I think it’s called « Exceptional Japanese Saber (or sword) » in english. Hope I help you.

I'm really curious what book is used for the different blade forms... beside that I'm just impressed by the artwork. I'm a follower from now on.

pay tribute!
its not wakizashi. its chisa katana with little handle.
And the saya?
Sometimes people don't pay the extra $ for a saya. All of his work is based on commission.
The overconfident crib conservatively part because fang jointly answer down a befitting face. cheerful, bitter reason
👍👍👍
