- I wasn't expecting this area to hit quite as hard as it did, but that falls in line with the rest of our journey into the Last of Us. I really delve into a lot of deep discussions and emotions when encountering the Kyle scenario.

@@eralia itâs okay, it fucked me up too lol
I just love the way you are touched by the smallest details of this game, this story. That's why I'm here.
â¤ď¸
I have loved these games for years, I'm playing them through the first time myself after only watching Let's play's because I was so scared of the Clickers.
I bumped into this content through watching a guide for a particular puzzle and I agree with you completely.
Eralia has a beautiful way of reacting to things and being touched by things other streamers seem to take for granted.
I'm looking forward to finishing this playthrough with Eralia and into TLOU2 as well.
If she watched the show, I'm here for that too. It's beautiful to see her playing this content and I'm so on board to see anything else.
I adore Ish's story.
It's so sad and so hopeful at the same time.
I like to believe that Ish and his community lived 5 or 10 extra happy years that they would not have had, if Ish had not formed that community in the sewers.
I feel similarly about Sam and Henry. I have to believe that Sam and Henry and Joel and Ellie's lives were better for having spent this time together. They had some good times, and they survived... until they didn't.
If the two pairs had never met, they would have lost out on those good times, and perhaps none of them would have survived their time in Pittsburgh.
truly a haunting tale of those who wanted a better life for themselves and for those they adopted/raised. it hurts my heart but it also makes me happy to know there are still good people out there in that universe! â¤ď¸
It really is a testament to great design when I think about how the Ish story was told completely through the environment and it still hits folks in the feels.
I wonder how many times they rewrote those letters to make them as clear and evocative as possible... while remaining plausible.
â¤ď¸đ
So well put. One of the reasons I keep coming back to this game, so much heartfelt story in the missable details.
I like that you appreciate all the small details they put in the environment, I feel like most hardcore gamers would run through and miss Ish's story.
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
I know very few people who missed it
Yeah I can imagine the people that grudgingly play through it, try to do it in the quickest time possible then say âahh it was mediocre.â
Also the same people who say emotions are beta boy behaviour but then go completely off the rails when something happens they donât like đ¤Ł
I love that after all the horrors you've faced so far, you see a happy little crab, doing its thing and you're like, "KILL IT WITH FIRE!"
gotta stay alert đ¤Ł
1:40:39 âIâm never making friends in this game againâ
The Last of Us series does such an amazing job at making players feel the emotions of the characters. Joel has deliberately cut himself off from attachment because he too canât allow himself to love anyone like he loved Sarah.
I look forward to the rest of your journey in this story.
welcome!! yes absolutely, the characters feel so real and genuine. â¤ď¸đ
Sam and Henry death is the most heartbreaking moment.
Even Ish and the kids story made you cry , omg.
When I played for the first time , it make me feel the same way.
â¤
The way this game puts you through trauma and forces you to keep moving on to the next section without time to process it is a wonderful way of getting you to feel like an apocalypse survivor. Having trauma and grief be a regular part of your life consistently and not being giving time to process is something that must be so difficult to deal with and you can see how it effects these characters over time
they really did it masterfully... thank you for sharing and watching â¤ď¸
Henry and Sam scene always makes me emotional
I never liked them đ
You know that feeling when you stub your toe very VERY hard, but it is the middle of the night and youâre not allowed to scream? âŚ.. the intro of âitâs gonna be a calm episodeâ is THAT feeling. đŹđ
Amazing video as always btw. đ
UGH what a good comparison... this episode gutted me. thank you â¤
This was the chapter that BROKE me! I knew after this that this game was something different! It was the 1st time a game made me cry! Wait until Part 2 đ
â¤â¤â¤
I have played this game so many times and every single time this part breaks me
â¤
It's a breath of fresh air to see others get emotional about the same things that I did. You have a beautiful heart.
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸ thank you!
You are definitely not the only gaming creator who gets emotional. If a game can do that then it's done it's job to make you care for these characters and this world. Many movie reactors can also get quite emotional
Yup, the game is linear, but the genius of it is that it has the feel of an open world game. The game guides you in the direction it wants you to go, but you never really feel that
â¤

@@hattchetman_2128 your tough guy attitude is cringe af.
Yeah, the "They didn't suffer" is one of the darkest... if not the darkest story in the entire game. The environmental story telling, where you can experience a whole other story line just from some notes and things around you, is amazing though.
âweâre just gonna hang out just gonna have a lil cookoutâ đ˘đ if only..

this game is heartbreakinâ in every sense of the word
it really is... idk if i'll recover after it all lol đ˘

Don't give up now, it gets much lighter in the next part of the story.

This. Also, this game is a warm hug of humankind and human kindness. And of hope, in several ways.
I got a little brother, and when I got to experience Henry and Sam's story for the first time... I don't know, I was speechless, basically my mind went blank at that point.
⤠its so sad...
1:37:19 that little pause before shit goes down was so funny đ, amazing video Eraliaâ¤
i have bad timing with pauses usually đđ
rewatching the last scene of Sam and Ellie, how poor Sam shares his feelings and fears, knowing he's doomed... it's heartbreaking.
29:27 this is what i was talking about exploring as much as possible in the last video, those optional bits and pieces are important to the story. I've seen so many people who missed or ignored that door.
â¤ď¸
Itâs always hard to watch people play it for the first time, because I get super emotional all over again
â¤ď¸
I really enjoy watching people play this game who cry as much as I do. Itâs an amazing experience.
Been loving your playthrough so far because of how attentive you are to everything and how emotionally connected you get to all the stories. I've played this game sooooooo many times and watched dozens of playthroughs so I can get through the hard scenes without crying anymore, but your reactions to them all get me so teary eyed and its like i'm playing them for the first time again so thank you
thank you â¤ď¸
Iâve seen that scene a billion times I know exactly whatâs coming everytime I see Henry and sam but no matter what it makes me cry itâs so fucking heartbreaking
I love the lush scenery and water details as well. Thereâs something hauntingly beautiful about nature taking over the infrastructure of our civilization.
The X with writing on the buildings are search and rescue markings (FEMA) which were likely left by FEDRA. A single diagonal slash indicates a team is currently searching the building and a second diagonal slash is made when the team exits, creating an X. Writing above the X indicates time and date the team searched and cleared the building. Writing to the left is the rescue team identifier or call sign. Survivors/corpses found are marked below the X. Writing to the right are hazards and any additional info about the structure or things found inside like supplies. Itâs a neat detail applying a real search and rescue code to a fictional scenario.
Not sure if you knew that but Iâll leave this info for those who donât know what those tags mean.
makes me wanna see her reactions to the show. every episode there is a tear-jerker.
â¤ď¸
I mean this in the best possible way, but I really enjoy (probably not the best word) watching your reactions to the emotional moments of this game, whether it's a big moment like losing a character that's been with you for awhile, or reading a note about a one-off character that you never met and never will but their story still affects you.
For those of us that played this game many years ago and multiple times, it's a nice reminder of the emotional impact this game can have on someone playing it for the first time, even today.
i absolutely understand! the human reactions are what connect us to the game and to others â¤ď¸đ
Best advice with Stalkers is you canât stealth them. Just pull out the shotgun. Take a shot of whiskey. Go to town.
Just stumbled across your channel recently..and Iâm now officially hooked, love the content and how you present it..keep it up â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
aw thank you!! i'm so glad you're loving it!! â¤ď¸

Seeing you to be so emotional it's one of the best moments of your gameplay. :) Never be ashamed to cry. Showing emotions is what makes us humans :) that's what the last of us is all about... emotions :) humans feelings. You're doing more than great at this piont, girl. Please... conitinue.... đ

Legit this!!! Its why we're here !!
Hope you enjoy the game. I can't get enough of it. I play this and part 2 over and over because I can't get enough of the whole Joel/Ellie bond. I don't get so teary-eyed anymore playing the game over and over, but when I saw it came to action on the HBO series, I cried my eyes out through multiple episodes. Not sure if you've seen the HBO series yet, but if you haven't, give it a watch after playing the first game.

Itâs so great having played it before knowing exactly which moments to look for. đ

Someone who actually appreciates the environmental storytelling, top tier playthrough
Gosh it feels so good to see you upload when I come home after univ. Your genuine feelings and desire to interact with people makes my heart melt. Just know that there is at least one person who you help to go through really tough times, help distract and feel better. And I wanna say thank you for that đ
About the game.. you're doing the right thing by playing the way you want to play it ! If anyone tries to impose you certain playstyle, just dont listen! You were really correct about this game, it needs a soecial trestment. But its not about loot but about.. Dialogues! In some places in some moments little Dialogues trigger and this is what we want from this game, more of Joel and Ellie! I really hope you Will keep on enjoy this game and will want to play second part after first one. It is much tougher and more dramatic but it is the kind of story that will certainly leave you under the strongest impression. I would even dare to say that it affects you even more than the first part, makes you constantly think about the game, analyze it. Truly an art, just like the first one
thank you so much, and i'm glad i can make your day a bit better! â¤

I usually donât watch these types of play throughs, but I randomly came across the first episode in this series and decided to throw it on. And 2 days later here I am at episode 6 laughing and crying right along with you.
The last of us is my favorite game of all time and Iâve played through over and over again. I almost forgot how emotional I was when I experienced the story for the first time. Iâve absolutely loved watching you play this so far.
Thank you for reminding me why I love this game! I will definitely be back for more of your content.. RDR2 is next!

Wow oh wow congratulations again and thank you for a wonderfully emotionally roller-coaster edge of my wits experience and i anticipate seeing your next video , YOU are definitely a one in a million!!!!!

When she starts out the episode talking about how she hates the lake and water in video games and I know sheâs about to spend an hour in a sewer with some Stage 2 Stalkers XD
I love the way she makes the mol joke about fire in the building and Iâm sitting here thinking sheâs talking about Pall Mall or Marlboros đ
56:11 yep, it looks and feels like natureâs warm hug moves in and embraces the lovely places where families lived. For all the scary stuff, it also feels like there could be coziness and freedom.
1:34:18 - wait another Deadwood reference, very cool paired with Ellieâs TLOU2 skin and Bill looking exactly like Dan Dority
I can't count how many times I've seen that final scene and I keep crying like the first time.
I feel your emotions trought out this whole game and I love it
â¤ď¸
The Henry and Sam chapter of this game is heart wrenching. I love watching you play the last of us!
â¤ď¸đ
For a 40+ introvert "covid world" wasn't bad at all (I kinda miss parts of it) but I can understand the frustration of younger people. The ability to adapt to unexpected situations is very important, and also one of the teachings of this game.
Ok, surviving the Stalker attack without dying on your first playthrough? That's impressive.
Ditto for the final battle in the sewers. I died so many times during these two battles my first time playing.
â¤ď¸ thank you!! i tried haha
omg I've never seen that Ellie death animation on the sniper part before. That was actually insane.
Henry and Sams story also broke me when I first played the game đđđ.
After you've finished the game, it would be awesome to see you do a reaction video to the Last Of Us TV show as well!! I thought knowing whats gonna happen would better prepare me these sort of scenes...but nope đđđ hits me just as hard đđđ
Also I love that you are emotional. I don't like when sad things happen and people have no reaction. I cried with you. Thank you for your feelings. (digital hug)

I've played this game, I think, only once, but I've watched so many others play it online and every time, I cry. Not only during the things that happened in this episode, but in so many other places in the game. No matter how many times I experience these things, they break my heart. So no, you aren't the only one.
I've played this so many times but it's so great to discover the game again through your eyes. Thanks for sharing this despite those Banshee run throughs always give me a kind of panic attack đ but I love you for this and your tender heart for digital characters.

The last 20 seconds of the video sums the feelings exactly đ
The sniper section where you held the controller so close to concentrate better is exactly how my brother and I used to play games when we were younger. I couldnât help but smile and laugh.
Fantastic job!
Watching your play through has made me realize I didnât take in the environment as much as I shouldâve. I think âThey didnât sufferâ hit me less bc I wasnât reading and absorbing the details as much
@eralia that henry and sam scene messed me up the first time around. I was tearing through the game, and when that happened i stopped playing the game for a few days.
I couldnt believe what i had gone through, and i couldnt believe this was a game.
Hey girl, I just wanted to say I love the way you are appreciating this game
I just finished Remastered and trying Part 1 next. What a difference in graphics! Plus, the different sun angles between versions are a neat touch.
I was sad when it looked like you were going to miss Kyle and the kids' final room, because it's kind of important to the whole Ish storyline.
it was such a touching moment. thanks! â¤ď¸
Such a crazy episode, this game just gets more intense! love the walkthrough, amazing as always!!
â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Thereâs lots of stuff referencing cordyceps throughout the game, but lots can be missed. Itâs called the CBI (Cordyceps Brain Infection) Pandemic in-universe. The idea is that it grows in the brain, which is why it âzombifiesâ people, and why it eventually bursts through the eyes and face (ie. clickers).
I'm not gonna cry then sees the kids bodies đ˘ oh you are so sweet and yes your emotion makes for a much better playthrough more real and immersive â¤
Hey girl! Iâve been here since your first episode of the last of us. I love your gameplay and the way you so emotional about the story really warms my heart.

1:26:56 I have never seen that death animation before and never want to again đđ
Thanks for sharing your first experience with this amazing game and story! Been watching from the beginning, and you're crushing it! Great choice avoiding spoilers and gameplay tips to play it your own way for your first run too. Keepin in real!
Since you're mostly a PC gamer, I totally get that the controller can suck for fine aiming. So, this is NOT a gameplay tip, but it's just about options and settings outside the game, but if you want to avoid it skip the rest now...
Optioins -> Controls -> Motion Sensor Function
Turning this on will enable the controller gyro just for when you aim down sites. It's easier to fine tune your headshots with it, kinda like a mouse. Some people love it, some people don't. Give it a shot and see if you like it sometime. I think you'd enjoy it more than using the controller sticks alone to aim.
BTW I think you're killin it either way. When the pressure is on, you gots skillz!
thank you so much!! glad youâre enjoying the chaos âşď¸â¤ď¸ i ended up not changing my controls, just adapted :P
