Smith looked so genuinely gutted at getting that mudblood question wrong it’s so funny
Of course he is. Smiffy is a Potterhead.
Funny that by now streaming they can get called out in real time.
Yea Smith always has the confidence. Doesn't mean that he is right, but the confidence means that he can forego a lot of arguements by simply exude a confident statement.
He looks like he just found out Dobby died all over again.
why the fuck does massimo sound like craig
im glad someone else heard it too
Thank you!!! Lol i thought i wss going crazy as well @Silverfish0161
the game's devs probably Scarlett Johansson'ed Craig's voice with an AI
I was thinking Turps, personally.
With a bit of Richard Ayoade
Time for another edition of Three Brains, One Cell
I don't know what's worse, Trott thinking Tatooine got blown up, or Smith correcting him by saying that it was NABOO that got blown up
Naboo is the mirror of Alderaan for Padme so I guess it makes sense if he hasn't seen the prequels in ages. Naboo was actually featured though and uses real Italian architecture.
Their Star Wars knowledge was painful for a more knowledgeable fan to watch lmao
If I'm being generous to them, I'm going to guess Trott confused Tatooine with Dantooine, the false target Leia gives up to the Empire (which also does not get destroyed though.)
And Smith, probably only knew that Leia's homeworld was destroyed, and that Leia is Padme's daughter, and assumed that that means she must also be from Naboo.
Whatever the case, the sheer confidence in their wrongness is something.
@@Odyaniivery generous, who the fuck remembers dantooine
"We can live like Jack and Sally if you want" with the next lines including "And we'll have Halloween on Christmas" was a big clue 😂
I always respect a man that can be so consistently and confidently completely wrong. Bless up Alan Smit
the fact that they all 3 instinctively knew how to pronounce "sarabi" but not "sanya", but it didn't clue them in, is funny to me lol
naboo doesn't get blown up, it's alderaan - princess leia's home
He's so confident saying it too which makes it funnier :D
He calls Hermione a Mudblood, and Hermione explains it's because she's got 2 muggle parents.
What's a muggle
@@moldiworp9143 you
A non-magic person. Us normies are muggles, but muggles isnt really a slur like mudblood is. @@moldiworp9143
@@moldiworp9143nothing, what’s a muggle with you?
And makes them forget who she is cause she needs to go do magic things. Which she wouldn't have had to do if at least one was chill with it
I wouldn't even call myself a hardcore fan, just seen the films and thought they were neat 🤷♂️
You can't lie to me and tell me that Craig didn't do the voiceover for this
Seamus says "I'm a halfblood" not a mudblood
He wouldn't call himself a mudblood, it's a slur
"Tatooine is fine, it was Naboo that was blown up"
*instantly ages 5 years due to violently furrowed brow*
Alsmiffy misquoting Seamus when I know the line off by heart is heartbreaking.
"I'm half-n-half. Dad's a smuggle. Mam's a witch. Bit of a nasty shock for him when he found out."
Smuggle
Mudbloods definition is indeed stated in an obscure part of the wizarding world canon called the Harry Potter series. It was also snuck into a 'blink and you'll miss it' set of scenes involving Ron vomiting slugs and Hermione being consoled by Hagrid over the whole debacle. OBVIOUSLY you don't have the entire set of Harry Potter books memorised and have the movies playing back to back on a loop or you'd have known that OBVIOUS answer.
Jango Fett was a well known warrior that the Kaminoans used as a framework for the clones they made for Sifu-Dyas ahead of the Clone wars. In return for his cooperation, Jango requested that he be given custody of one of his clones, whom he named "Boba Fett". I don't recall if Boba Fett was actually a Mandalorian or if he just wore their garb, but if he was one, he didn't live by their codes very well in the original series.
jango was mandalorian, so i guess that makes boba one too seeing as he is a clone? that would make all clones mandalorian however so maybe not?
picked the wrong harry potter eugenics opinion, whoops
Nutcracker Suite includes the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies (also the fish and the dancing mushrooms scenes)
Rite of Spring is the dinosaurs scene
Dance of the Hours is the hippos/crocodiles scene
sneaky question because Carnival of the Animals was in Fantasia 2000
I still have faith that one day, they will hit 1 million subs (I’m delusional)
Maybe there will just be a series on a game at some point that blows up and it could be possible at some stage - GTA 6 maybe 🤔
@@Birdiex94x I really do hope so! They deserve it ☺️
Surely number can only go up
its okay im delusional too, except i have faith that one day i can watch a hat films video without being reminded that harry potter exists
@Fischtoria I hope you're constantly reminded
When has mudblood been anything other than “a witch or wizard born to non magic parents”.
I think they're going to have to give up the crown of number one harry potter podcast.
Ross, that comment about adults getting dumber from the point they leave school is the realest and most Hat Films thing I've heard all year 🤣
Urquhart was actually the answer to the last one. Montague was chaser after Flint, but not captain.
Nah, Urquhart replaced Montague who replaced Flint. Montague is the one who adds Crabbe and Goyle to the team as beaters
Boba is the CLONED son of Jango, I've never watched Star Wars or The Mandalorian, so how do I know this ? IT WAS ASKED AT THE BEGINING OF THE FUCKIGN VIDEO 😂😂😂😂
Yay, it's my favourite Harry Potter fan channel!
Them getting so much Star Wars stuff wrong, genuinely shocks me.
They get the questions right, but the lore they discuss is off.
"I'm half and half. Dad's a muggle. Mam's a witch. Bit of a nasty shock for him when he found out." Seamus Finnigan
Ironically the game was wrong on the last question - the answer is Urquhart, only remembered because I could never work out how to pronounce the name as a kid
Great episode! Would love more of these, especially with the focus on Star Wars and Harry Potter.
I just love coming home from a hard days work, making some food and watching a new Hat Films video. I'm explaining it very simply but I just can't be thankful enough to have their content in my life.
Not to go to "Akshully" but... Dengar and Bossk are two separate characters. Who wrote these Star Wars Questions?!
is that Richard Ayoade that plays our character? I wanna play it just for that.
This was so hard to watch live, I cannot put myself through this again 😅
One of the books/movies is literally called “The Half-Blood Prince” 😭😭😭
Mudblood was a highly derogatory term for either a Muggle or a Muggle-born or half-blood wizard or witch, though more so the former than the latter; that is, individuals with close Muggle relatives. I'm still not sure about this one.
A Muggle is a muggle; a mudblood is a Wizard or Witch that comes from none magical lineage. That question really bothered me.
Alderaan, never forget. The boiks did.
I’ve never seen Smith look so upset over the wrong answer
THEY WERE RIGHT! Someone with two muggle parents is a Muggleborn, someone with one muggle parent is half-blood, Mudblood is a derogative term used by purebloods against anyone with ANY muggle blood! (Sorry, potterhead overe here)- EDIT: I actually commented before continuing the video, they checked the wiki.
We can live like JACK and SALLY if we want
Where you can always find me
And we'll have HALLOWEEN ON CHRISTMAS
Smith getting the Seamus quote dead-ass wrong wounded me on a spirtual level, no true Wazard is he!
Loving the return to Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, good laughs thanks boiks
Ah my favourite Harry Potter Channel
Why are they demanding geek questions when they're obviously not geeks?!
I’m pretty sure Urquhart, Lucian Bole and Graham Montague are members of Hatfilms?
Alright seriously, what was Smith on during this one?
How do you not know what a mudblood is? And they call themselves the best Harry Potter channel that ever existed
Muggle = no magic
Mudblood = two muggle parents (no magical blood = mud)
Half-blood = someone with one muggle parent and one magical parent
Pure-blood = someone with two magical parents
True, I was as sure as Smith. But "The Half-Blood Prince" is the title of one of the books, and I had even forgotten that!
"It's a eugenics thing!" Smithy confident at 4:40 and then his world gets destroyed
I think pure blood was specifically no muggle ancestors at all, Harry has two wizard parents and considers himself a half blood from what I remember.
I think pureblood is only someone from a certain family where only halfbloods marry into it, like the Weasleys. Lily was a mudblood marrying into Potter, making it no longer pureblood?
Mudblood is also a slur, Muggleborn is the more common term.
Everyone asked who is Graham Montague but never how is Graham Montague 😢
This game used to be so much more hilarious because every time it cut to the host (I forget his name) right before he asks a question he had the saddest, most dead-behind-the-eyes look on his face and for some reason it was just so amazingly funny. It really looked like his daughter had been taken for ransom and he knew she was constantly being raped and abused or something but they patched that out for some reason
Massimo sounds like Richard Ayoade
Hermione literally gets the word cut into her skin by Bellatrix...
For how much they talk about Harry Potter, I'm always surprised how little they seem to know about the story.
massimo sounds like if craig and richard ayoade had a baby
the game has to be wrong because Hat Films knows everything about Harry Potter. I mean, the HatChat Podcast is the best Harry Potter podcast!!
The complete lack of HP knowledge ahahaaha
9:50 Alderaan was blown up, not Naboo
Trott as contestant Ross in a suit hosting and Smith is the phone a friend for the Harry Potter questions/belligerent audience member
i love the world's nerdiest fights that they were having XD
I'm 33 years old. This shit was common knowledge, Ross.
Ask the audience should include a twitch poll.
Finally, Ross is given the honor of being the Pottermaster of the Hats
"Who goes looking for Luke Skywalker in the last episode of the movie "The Force Awakens""
What the hell. Who wrote this question?!
Smiffy getting the Mudblood question wrong is the biggest upset of 2024. Someone with no Harry Potter knowledge at all would know the answer to this question, but Alan Smith is easily one of the 5 most dedicated Harry Potter fans on the internet.
I knew it was coming from the thumbnail, but I still can't believe they got that one wrong. Smith was so sure, and then questioned his existence afterwards.
(A) was definitely the right answer btw, you can argue (B) was also correct, but out of the two (A) was more "right"
Surely a mudblood is a mix or is that a "half blood" like the prince? If a muggle and a muggle have a kid thats just a muggle?
explained at 5:43
Smiths conviction when he’s completely wrong is truly something to behold.
Muggles are no magic, muggleborns (or the slur mudblood) is a witch or wizard with two muggle parents. One of each is a half blood.
Next episode should be 100% Manga questions. You guys are experts on Manga, you'll get the million easy.
I’m fairness to hat films, they don’t really know Harry Potter trivia, they just love quoting terrible child acting.
13:09 Ross with the absolute truth bomb.
14:45 time for Smith to spit facts
Half bloods! Youre thinking half bloods lol.
I love that this was basically the boiks realising that they aren't as big fans of Harry Potter and Star Wars as they thought
Get the HP only next time, lmao!
The in-game character looks like a foreign assassin
tbf, the fact they got mudblood's definition fucked up is nothing compared to their misspelling of muscles previously. just a shit game innit
How is a mud blood NOT someone with 1 muggle parent??? Thats not right surely.
Unsubbed because I thought they were the no.1 Harry Potter channel
oh man oh man Smaff, you've lost your potterhead license.
I've never seen nor read anything Harry Potter-related, but every time I hear about it I get more convinced that it is absolute garbage.
Why has Trott got huge Star Wars dice...👀
Thank you for your videos! They are always so high quality and interesting. I can see that you are professionals. ♎♎♎♎♎♎♎♎
"not subscribers" took me out lmao one day boiks one day
Killing it kings 🎉❤🎉
mudblood, you are a wizard with no pure blood its dirty blood,
I honestly expected them to call Sips
That question was very poorly phrased, and I disagree that one person referring to themselves as half-blood confirms that that's the view of the entire wizarding world.
My dude, there's a whole book/film called The Half-Blood Prince... Harry and Voldemort are referenced multiple times as being Half-Bloods too
Dumas is French. You don’t pronounce the S. ‘Doo-muh’
More gameshows
According to the wiki: Dirty blood, see. Common blood. Explanation of the term "Mudblood" Mudblood was a highly derogatory term for either a Muggle or a Muggle-born or half-blood wizard or witch, though more so the former than the latter; that is, individuals with close Muggle relatives. So both A and B would've been correct
Wiki is wrong. Mudblood is exclusively a wizard/witch with no magic parents.
For a group of guys that claim to be the worlds no 1 Harry Potter Podcast, they know fuck all about Harry Potter 😂
Did Turps voice this contestant?
RIP HATT films. Bygone era.
I'm dissapointed in you lot. The whole point of *half blood* is literally the "one muggle one wizard" thing, as opposed to mudblood... For shame!
I believe, boys... I believe
The mudblood question is so stupid and doesn't have one single definitive answer. It's basically down to the user of the words discretion as to who fits the label. Some wizards would label someone a mudblood just for having muggles in their close family, despite being born from two magical parents themselves. So it can be A, B, C and D... If you have unknown parents, supremacist wizards would likely assume they must be muggles and therefore label you a mudblood regardless. It's like any slur, really. The definitions aren't always solid, and they change over time.
Love this
mudblood is a slur. it's not a race-mixing thing, it's literally the n word for wizards. like "what the fuck do you think you're doing casting magic? you're not one of us" type shit.
SMITHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
MOAR
WOOO! FINALLY!
Hey! No changing the comment. Why are you rocking our unstable world?
"Tinker Bell is a side character for me" Right, she wasn't literally the Disney logo intro for years or anything...
I thought this was an older game, so imagine my surprise when it gave questions that are very recent. Also While I know the Boiks might not know it all too well, I would like to see them make an attempt at the manga category. But that's because I myself like Anime and manga. Also I think they might learn some cool facts and stuff from it.
🤢🤢
