This pair of 1000 Mile Boots go through a transformation that isn't all that crazy butt has drastically changed the look of the boots. Going from just a standard lather soled boot to a leather soled boot that also has a Vibram rubber half sole added more specifically the Vibram 700 half sole, with new leather heel bases that changes the style even more by making it in to a Cuban style heel and basically over all changes the whole style of the boots.

Loved them man 🤌🏻
Very nice job they look amazing now that's the way they should make them I have a pair of them but they are a great pair of boots to begin with but the red wing Beckman already come that way there both great boots thanks for sharing your great talent with us all
Nice vid
i liked your video and thought about doing the same to my Wolverine 1000 mile boots so i brought them to Dan at Extreme Shoe Service in Boulder. we decided that a full leather sole and a half rubber sole would be very stiff and difficult to bend so we decided to remove the original sole and put a mid sole then use the full version of the vibram sole in your video. then instead of using a very pedestrian walking heel we used a vibram lug heel and since im not short we kept the height the same. now my boots feel exactly like they did when they were new and have a heavy duty vibram sole and heel combo. no problem bending the sole
the work you do is great. The boots kind of look like ballsack leather though
Awesome job! What do you think about doing half-soles resoles compared to full resoles? I have a pair of Cobbler Union shoes with a fiddleback waist and here in Portugal I'm not confident that the local cobblers can do a full resole with that detail. Thanks for everything!
Half soles aren’t all that bad. It’s actually a good option if you catch the soles in time to alternate doing a half sole then a full sole. Helps save some money when it’s not always needed to have a full sole done. If you ever need to I have had people ship to us from Portugal before as well.
we can do the same thing in boulder at 2709 arapahoe 303 440 3737. extreme shoe service. mail them in to us repairs usually take about a week
How long do you leave leather sole in the oven for the glue to cure?
It’s not to long usually about 60 seconds at 300 and it’s to activate the glue
Too short.
The heel makes it look like a woman’s boot
